I like the look from a distance on your car with the polished lip and black center, but up close I don't care for the three piece rims. Never have liked three piece in any configuration for some reason. Too much 'busyness' with all the hardware.

Standard 21" fitment as I've seen others running.
Buddy just be careful with potholes. Your new setup has about 1/2" shorter tire's wall size than before so rims can be damaged easily.

No doubt! Worse case... Repair or replace. No risk... No reward.

Lol. Thanks bud. Funny thing... All that detail ("busyness") is what I was looking for.

Looks sick! A drop would really complete the look.

I always like my exhaust tips polished.

The only things I'd change are the exhaust tips and rear badge back to polished. Your front grill has the polished badge so it'll match the front.

Thanks bud! I would like to drop it as it would absolutely complete the look. I'll have to put some additional thought into it.

Yeah, I'm def doing the tips. Not sure about the badge yet though. I've really grown found of the black. Once I change the tips, I'll see how it looks and then go from there.

I think it looks nice Phil. The polished lips break up the blacked out theme but i would change the exhaust tips too. Is your car lowered?

Imo keep the black tips etc and do not return to the stock look. Those HREs are amazing, I am just not a fan of the chrome lip and the contrast against the black. I would get lip refinished in black or graphite matte and call it a day.

Thanks bud. I actually WANT a slight contrast between the lip and face.

I'm thinking brushed tinted lip and satin black center. But it will depend on what HRE quotes me to refinish. Lol.
Ultimately, they add a 'pop' to the car that the stock black 343's didn't have. So, I'm happy.

Phil, the wheels look awesome IMO. I would change to the CYBA polished tips But would leave all other black accents as is. Def would not change the badge or door handles or side grills back to chrome. The tips should be more than sufficient to complement the lips of the wheels. Enjoy.
I must say though, washing 3 piece wheels is a bitch...lol

I'm def changing the tips. Then see how it all works together and reevaluate.

Hi Phil, long time, you are insane and I love it! Space gray is one awesome color and it goes really well with the stock trim pieces. Now, with your new shoes, I would bring it back to stock with the exception of the reflectors.

Hey Tony! Thanks bud! I'm going to change to polished tips and then reevaluate the look before changing the badge and side gills back to stock.

Hey... I'm selling my CF exhaust tips... FYI.

As for the finish... I would agree. Not my ideal choice. But the deal was too good to pass up.

I already reached out to HRE to get a quote on refinishing.
What is the price you pay for refinish the wheels? If the deal was too good to pass up, I would recommend to buy them.. A good set of wheels after all.. Anyway, any idea to lower the car? KW HAS??

I'm not sure I follow your questions. Maybe lost in translation.

I DID purchase the wheels already since the deal was too good to pass up. But, HRE hasn't replied yet with a quote to refinish them in my preferred finish.

I would like to lower the car, but it's my daily driver and the roads in my part of the US are pretty rough. It's not out of the question totally just yet... But I prob won't do it. While I hate the wheel well gap for aesthetics, I DO like the ground clearance from a functional perspective.

Oh I see, so you have the wheels already.. I believe HRE will charge you a lot of money to have your wheels refinished. What color are you looking at?

I used to live in Ann Arbor in year 2008, and the road is rough up there. But believe me, the road in Indonesia is not comparable to the US. That is my biggest dilemma to lower or not to lower the car. However, I can't help with the wheel gap the M5 has.. I finally lowered the car by .75inch all around, and I still have the "OK" ground clearance.

Lol. Thanks! They are a tad bit on the 'blingy' side. I think a color change would help reduce the bling factor.
