Welcome to the forum and congrats. At one point I was looking to sell my M5 and get into a 2015 F80 M3. Coming from an B8S4 and GT-R. I felt the the M5 was so BIG and it was scary fast being my first RWD car, so I felt the M3 was the happy medium. But being in it a little over a year it’s growing on me.
Curious though if you ever thought about going the F80 M3/M4 route before the M5 and if so why the M5 over the M3/M4? |

I dunno If I will miss it, but they are two different cars. The M3 was nimble and quick. With the eisenman exhaust i had, it was arguably the best sounding car on the market. Its definetly the best sounding, high revving v8.
The M5 feels big! It is big! It is also much faster and luxurious. I do miss the M3, but for the specific reasons I listed above. The M5 is a luxury rocket that can run with the big boys and still go to a black tie affair. |

Great color! Congratulations!
What are you plans for it? Eisenmann also sounds great on the F10 M5 as well.

I also had an E92 M3 when I bought my Comp Pack 2014 M5. I would go back and forth between the cars. The M3 started to feel more like a toy, not a real car if that makes sense. And what I used to think was fast in the M3 started to feel pretty slow. I found myself not pushing the M3 as much because it wasn't as full filling. BUT, the M5 is big and I miss the tossablility of the E92. Totally different cars. The M5 does so much more into the luxury side and the longer wheels base and low end torque makes it hands down the best freeway car. It just feels like too much at times for quick trips around the block.

No you won't... I thought the same thing but instead of selling my E92 M3 I waited two years and paid it off and then bought my M5 so now I have both and I can tell you since I got my M5 I have driven my M3 once. I kinda wish I would have sold my M3 a long time ago because now its kind of a waste. 2011 M3 with 31,XXX miles with Akrapovic exhaust and Dinan parts and tune. Should have sold it and gone for a P-Car and M5.

Just did the exact same thing a few weeks ago. Im still getting used to the M5 but man I love it. I am seriously missing the exhaust note though, so I really need to find something for the M5. |
