Hmm...I forgot about this. One would hope that the high end rentals are better maintained, but I can see it being a situation where Hertz just lets them fall apart.

They're all about asset utilization so servicing is done in house, and they only fix things like alignment if a customer reports it which people usually don't do when returning a car.

One time I rented a 535i and it wouldn't go in sport mode because the TPMS said one of the tires was low. Hertz told me to ignore it because the pressure is correct, only the sensor is faulty. They didn't view this as an issue, but it prevented use of sport mode. Annoying.
