Apologies if this is a stupid question, but how can this be a 2016 F10 M5 delivered in 2015 ? Also does the 2016 have new/different features over the 2015 model - how do you identify which model you have?

Nice. Best color ever.
TB is dark in low light. But much more blue than Imperial. It is amazing in sunlight. When clean it has a very wet look

There is nothing new for 2016 over 2015 to the best of my knowledge. The VIN and window sticker will identify the model year.

No changes between model years 2015 and 2016.
Having had E46 M3, E90 M3, F82 M4, and F12 M6 Coupe, I can honestly say from a comfort and ride standpoint this M5 is by far the best. I haven't driven hard in the 60 miles since delivery, but I'm sure the performance and handling are there with the Competition Package too. I love the Tanzanite blue. It looks so deep in the sun and really pops. |

Curious how much of a difference does the M performance exhaust make?
Love the colour by the way.....

Me too. I think if I remember correctly it's made by Akra, so I'm sure has a different sound. Louder. I have the CP exhaust and crapped out with putting on an exhaustmeister unit. Same thing as wiring open the valves, but I have a remote to open and close them. It's fine, but I'm sure the MP exhaust sounds better, would like to know though. OP, congrats, great color combo too. I'm not sure of your timeline, but curious why you made the switch from F82?

The MPE sounds great, of course not too loud inside the cabin, but the tone is fantastic and the carbon tips look incredible.
I switched out of the M4 for a few reasons. While it is a fantastic car and a lot of fun, I already have a 991 GTS that satisfies that itch and I had purchased the M4 as my DD. I'm a pretty big guy (6'3", 250lbs) and the non-adjustability of the front seat cushion bolsters was causing extreme discomfort after short periods of time in the car. Also, the car felt a little "juvenile" to me. The M5 (and M6) are just a little more adult to me and fit me better. |
