I am Prod Number 39151XX and set for pickup at 9:00am on 9/3. Not sure how much margin for error/delay they allow, but it seems that all of the early ED cars should be in production now/very soon....

BMWUSA.com shows me NOT in production, but I hope I am...

I'm a 39094XX and still showing 112. I'm not sure how they are processing the production order, but I'm a 9/1, 8:00am checkin to pick up (probably one of the first ED pick up slots).

Hope it changes soon!

I have a lower # but still 112.
I guess ours will be "hot off the press" ?
As long as she is ready in a robe in the am on 9/1, it'll be OK with me :-)

I agree with BarryB. As long as its ready is all that matters. My car is supposed to be done by 8/22 so I wonder if I could pick up early since I will be in Munich a few days early. Outside of a hard release date of 9/1 I can't see why not. It would save them money and remove liability for them having to store the car

I have the exact time as yours. 9/3 9am pick up time.

No update on the website as well.

Makes me worry too.

None of us will be able to pick up early. All of the workers there including anyone named Wolfgang, Fritz, or Otto, will all be on vacation and the Welt won't be open. Almost all of Germany goes on vacation in August. Lol!

RIP Richard Dawson. I'm guessing he has the answer to your question. But never hurts to ask.

If they are all on vacation then why is the Welt scheduling ED's for the end of August?

Checked with my CA today...still 112. Then again, my prod. week is 35 with a 9/10 ED pickup. Getting anxious! 30 days until we hop on a plane. Woo Hoo!

I am curios to know how they are pulling these orders for build. I would have assumed via production number and I know a few people who have a lower production number than me that are still 112. Could it be a paint thing? Maybe they are building all the white ones first, then blue, etc?

Who knows for sure.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say the production numbers are assigned sequentially as orders come in, but the actual production is done in batches with like color or similarly equipped cars getting grouped together to improve efficiency of the production line.
