KW Lowered and TEARING thru tires...
So I have the KW full coil over kit and I am absolutely destroying tires. I know I need the kit to further adjust camber and stuff.
So my question is... What do I need for the front camber and what do I need for the rear camber? Not the easiest finding the kit(s). Last edited by Rockin-The-F10; 11-10-2017 at 12:05 AM.. |

I have no tyre issues running 1.2 degrees front and 1.5 rear, the settings for toe are as factory just a little less toe in front and rear, can't recall the exact numbers

Which full kit are you referring to. Kwv3? I have the v3. I tried to set my height as close to stock for the same reason. I take your going through the inside of your tires. Too low can mess up your alignment. It's time for my new alignment. I'll give you the numbers afterwards. It may be in Monday if I get the time.

Toe is what kills tires not camber. Camber will just result in the insides wearing at a faster rate than the outside. Toe will eat your tires alive as they will be constantly scrubbing the road whenever you drive. Definitely get an alignment.
Now if you really don't like camber you have a couple options. First is the oem way and second is aftermarket. For oem your rear is already adjustable and the front would need the oem positive correction upper wishbone control arm. It will only change the camber by .5 degree positive though, which with proper toe can be enough. The aftermarket way is to go with Kmac adjustable bushings. They make front and rear kits. I do not have experience with their kits so I can't comment further on them. Either way you go let us know what solves your issue. |

The inner sides are wearing FAST!!! pretty sure its the camber bud.
I have the KW3 and I have the tires tucking so you can imagine the wear I am experiencing. I know there are kits to solve this issue. Wanting to see if there are any that are reasonable out there. $500 for a couple bushings is ridiculous. |

I did a corner balance early last year and my numbers are all about good. Way better than before. The kwv3 doesn't offer a camber kit. Don't know why? But if the insides are wearing fast its camber which was why I tried to get mine close back to stock which still looks good. I drive curves aggressively so that too can be apart of it. I just put on my new mp4s so let's see how it works out.

I am not sure of the factory spec, but factory cars run some negative camber, 1-1.5 degrees is angling the tyre by 1-1.5 degrees, that will not promote significant wear, incorrect toe will !
