Best M5 commerical ever... made by Guy Ritchie, with Clive Owen.. after getting the gist of Madonna being a bitch, skip to about 4:20.

Not a commercial but one of 5 BMW short films. Still great to watch.
The clip cuts the opening and closing credits.

Audi should come play with the big boys...
In F1.
Ferrari doesn't even bother with ads and commercials. Their adverts are F1.

History lesson - Auto Union dominated back in the days in GP.

btw.. I was at the California unveiling and they did mention that there is a publicly broadcasted commercial for it

I must say though... by your avatar it says; Turbo lag is non existent with N/A.

As much as I like your phrase because I am big fan of N/A and prefer it over Turbo, I must ask, have you driven a F10 M5? Theres essentially no lag. The power curve peaks very quickly and plateaus. I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but actually most N/A engines today that Rev high have..; Lets call it, "Cam Lag". You gotta be in the 4's till you start making your HP.

Just wanted to point that out.

I own an E90 M3. N/A, which is the reason for the username thingy. Yes, I know it takes a while for the full power to hit, but it's also why I love this and the new 991s...that rush in the higher RPMs. I love the linear increase in power.

I really like the M5, and I've driven it. I nearly bought it, then realized buy a 100k car right after the M3 wasn't smart. There really isn't turbo lag that can be felt, and immediate power is nice. I'm looking forward to the F80 and future BMW turbos that I'm sure will eliminate ALL turbo lag.

I've had previous cars with turbo lag, though. They were fun but I didn't really like that sharp kick.

It's sad that M cars will no longer be N/A. However I understand why they are doing it.

I love my M5 but I still yearn for a more visceral experience. I test drove a 991s. I love it and I am considering it. The only downfall I felt is exactly what you said. The car has hardly anything before 4k, then blast off. It's either that a 997GT3. I miss the scream of a NA engine.

Wait till you drive a 991 turbo. Turbos do visceral better than NA engines. Your 991 to M5 comparison is utterly meaningless.

N/A engines are junk in my opinion. I never want to own one again. Turbo is minimum bid for me. What I really want is Turbo Electric Hybrid like McLaren has.

Thats nice Stealth, thats completely irrelevant to what I was saying. Besides It's not about the power benefit from it, thats irrefutable. Secondly, I'm quite knowledgeable about cars and would never COMPARE a M5 to a 991. It's like comparing a Cheetah to a Lion.

Lastly, to each is own but a driving experience to me is more than just acceleration. You claiming that Turbo engines do better viscerally is a matter of opinion. Turbos certainly do not sound as good typically as NA engines IMO. For me, sound is a essential part of my experience. I love my M5, but it cannot compete in regards to a visceral experience when it comes to a Porsche. I aware of that before purchasing it.
