New iDrive Professional Navigation system (609) on M5?

Just wondering if anyone can confim that the updated iDrive Professional Navigation system (609) [Details] will be on the F10 M5 for 2013 following the July production. Other 5 and 3 series medels look to be slated for this update.

Considering that there was a bulletin about a "material change" for MY2013 which was later confirmed to involve the iDrive computer, I would say it's all but certain.

I think it can all be happening at the same time with july production cars. Which are all 2013 models.

I tried to ask BMW NA and they didn't have a clue. I'm wondering the same. Does anyone have the means to find out?

Best bet would be Matt Russell, M Brand Manager for BMW NA. His handle on the forum is BMWNA_MGuy.

M5 is listed for the new parts from July 2012 Production, just like the rest of the 5 Series (New CIC computer and IDrive screen)

3 Series will most likely get the new software aswell ( It already has teh hardware to run it, unlike the older F10)

Hi E90. I have a December build F 10. Do you think I will be able to upgrade to the new software or will I need additional hardware too ?

I would think the hardware is required, why else would they be changing all the F10 hardware ?

There have been pictures of a new iDrive controller in the LCI 7 Series. Is this thread on the NAV different (ie software upgrade) or do you think it will also have the new iDrive controller. if you look closely at the screen shots, it looks like a new iDrive controller with the touchpad. Check out these pics:
