It seems like you were mostly looking for a comfortable car and M5 was a good choice for you. Congrats!

Congratulations for owning one of the best BMW M cars nowadays. I enjoyed your review very much as you made us feel what it is like to dream of owning a car as fabulous as the M5. As other members said, your review is much more entertaining than other silly reviews from journalists around the world.

Although you picked the classic color tone inside out, I would have decided to go for something darker on the outside/brighter on the inside. Anyways enjoy it but what's more important is drive carefully and don't get taken by emotions because sometimes we overstep the border when driving such cars.

Very nice color on the M5, this is the individual color of the M5? Congratulations, you are a happy man.

How about some pics of that AWESOME heads up display you were talking about? IL would love to see the bells and whistles from the inside. Did you get EVERY option oh this car, or did you leave some off and why did you leave those options off it you did.

Also if you had to live with just ONE car and this was your daily driver, would you opt for the 550xi with everything in it for the traction and control of the NorthEast of the harsh weather in the United States, or does the M5 Suspension have enough bite to get it through snow, ice and wet weather?

...Mike

P.S. Grats of such a BEAUTIFUL car!

Can you imagine that I dream about this car every night...such an amazing great car it is!!! I was never this enthousiast about Ã* car.

Hope this car never turns into "normal" because when it does there is no other subtitute for it.

And I also wants to thank M GMBH

I left a lots of option beside.
Because when I dont do that the car cost over 160-180 euro's. And thats to much. I dont like leasing so i always buy the cars. In lease this car will cost me about 4-5000 euro's a month. This is Holland.

I ll post some more pics of the HUD soon.

I am not used to drive in snow so i can not answer your question. But the 550xi is a superb car but it aint an M. The f10 M5 is IMO a perfect daily driver.

So lets delete every vid or article which says that the sound is not good..
Congrats to your new car! It looks amazing!

BUT I totally can't agree with what you said about the sound. The new M5 sound is very quiet and boring. It's so bad that they had to fake it in the interior. And from the outside it sounds ok but not has strong has an AMG and not even close to the former V10.

But still I am sure it is a lot faster and more comfortable (which I hate ) have fun with it!
In 2007 I made an accident with my e60 M5. I was just getting out of the car when another car stopped to help. The engine of the M5 was running. This guy came closer and said with a big dissappointing in his face. " hee this a f**** diesel ...I thought it was an M5...." this is what i mean of not liking the sound of the V10. When high revving it was ofcourse fenomenal.

In my opinion the sound of the V10 is unbeatable. Not only that but also no other car has ever sounded better, not even the best sports cars like the M3 GTS.

That's hilarious and right at the same time!

To the OP, congrats. on the car as a supplementary item to your Ferrari, now please sell your F430 and buy a new 458 Spyder, this way we may get even more jealous!

Good color choice with the Silverstone, can't go wrong with that one, refined, practical, elegant, a crowd pleaser in bigger M models.

Like James, we the owners and/or lovers of 1M are looking fwd to hear more from you with regard to a comparison with the 1M, since it is so "the other way" of doing things right and also I think they might be the first side by side photos of those two, at least I never saw any before so thanks for posting them. If your friend who owns the 1M was granted a chance to drive your M5 it might be equally interesting to hear his comments as well.

Beauti...ful car and colour. Looks fantastic. Won't say you are lucky because I am sure that luck had nothing to do with your success. I know how you felt when you got this...probably same when I got my 335i. Hopefully someday, will have enough money to get a/ the new M3 or M4 (what ever they will call it).
