F10 M5 Akra Tips - Carbon

Hello

Does anyone know if the carbon tips you can buy from Akrapovic are identical to the BMW M performance ones:

Carbon tips - 18 30 2 348 835

BMW have a UK hold and I'm trying to source my own.

Thanks... I've had confirmation they are the same:

"The aftermarket M5 system and the Akrapovic M Performance system are the same, we can have the tail pipes here within 3 working days of receipt of payment."

So they are ordered

It's due in next few weeks. But collecting on 1st March.

M performance trim arrived today, will put some photos up. Also the black side vents will be back with me next week.

So... 5 weeks

did you go for black grills as well as side vents? are you getting your dealer to fit/paint them?

what M performance trim are you getting. all OEM or after-market? I'm keen to do the same when I order this week, but want to know if dealer can source and fit all this before delivery to me...

are you getting the front CF splitters and spoiler like your M3?

Hiya

Yes the front grilles, side vents and M Perf. side decals (like on my touring) - not sure yet on these will go see before they go on.

The trim is the carbon fibre one, OEM. Looks fantastic, and didn't realise it has some silver aluminium parts as well.

Dealer can source the trim and install after/during PDI. If you need any info just let me know.

They are not the same but they will both fit.

I am waiting for M Performance myself but dealer has given me no ETA.

Good for you. My exhaust has been pending install since early December due to lack of tips.

They are still being tested according to my Parts guy... like you say with no off-hold date.

Can the tips be bought on there own?..presume they will be mega expensive

Tips are ~1300USD but officially you can only buy them if you have the exhaust (for some models you get individual tips (X6 / Mini)

Yes Akra being fitted during PDI (or after)... apparently PDI labour doesn't include a full exhaust change:P I tried!

£237.50 each in the UK full price for the tips from BMW

Sure more than welcome - hope the meet comes off and I can make it

sorry if this is a silly question... but can you fit the Akra or M Perf tips to a non m performance or non Akra full exhaust system? can they be fitted to stock or the comp pack sports exhaust?

Have you had an update on the carbon M perf tips? I have recently ordered M perf exhaust & have been told carbon tips & fitting kit on back order, but lots of exhausts in stock in Germany. Latest I heard from UK was that AG are about to ship first batch of 150 (not sure why not a multiple of 4) tips imminently although back orders exceed that number & no date as yet as to when next batch will be available.

My dealer has just asked me to confirm tips as they thought I wanted titanium (have made it clear I want carbon).

My dealer checked last week as I am having issues with my Akra tips...

No stock of carbon no dates.

He did check titanium some months ago and there were plenty.
