Just got Lowered - H&R on F10 M5

Sorry for the poor iPhone pics..... Here you can see before and after.(first 2 before, last 3 after)
I am expecting a bit more drop over the next couple of weeks. Just got her done last night

Any input on spacers? Those of us that have cameras in front, it could pose a limit on the spacing as the camera body bumps out into the wheel well.......
Not totally sure I need them yet. Ride is totally acceptable so far. Drop is subtle but good enough for me.

Looks great. Ride quality seems good? Did you buy the springs and then have them installed or did installer order them for you? Can you tell me what total price installed was? PM is fine if you don't want to post. Also, did you get a 4 wheel alignment done after install? I have been told that is important to do.

With regard to spacers. I believe Rogue engineering has a spacer kit that they will send out with several different widths for you to test fit to achieve the desired stance without rubbing before buying the wrong size.

My wheel guy ordered them for me. He is great and gives me the "family" pricing.
I paid $675 out the door for the springs, install plus V1 hardwire. Crazy deal IMO.....
I would HIGHLY recommend this guy for anyone in the Bay Area. He is an enthusiast and appreciates our cars.
Sam at Sleek Motoring in Mountain View. Can't guarantee that the price is the same for all, obviously.
Ride is good :-)

Looking great. I was waiting for Eibach spring for a while. Looks like Sam and his shop has great review. Thanks for sharing.

In Columbus I got quoted eight hours of install time at $100/hr. Springs for $319 off tirerack.com and $800 for install. Sounds ridiculous to me for the time to install.

They have to do an alignment too. Around here it is usually 650-700 in total.

Same in Houston.... 8 friggin hours. what a crock. My (former) shop in Orange County charges $350 flat for install and said its about 3-3.5 hours. They did say it is more difficult than the E60 was, but EIGHT HOURS? meh.

Agreed. More difficult but not eight hours difficult.

BTW love the signature with your 2008 Cessna. I started to get my PPL but was stopped in the middle of VFR from the boss due to safety and three kids.

Install should be somewhere around 5-6 hrs based on recent experience with several cars.
Most time is spent removing trim pieces/rear shelf/speakers to gain access to the EDC cables.
Also the EDC plugs are fragile and one should take their time to avoid tearing / breaking the connectors/cables.
But overall not a huge job , just requires patience and skills (want to make sure you pick a shop with experience so they don't scratch/damage your trim/rear shelf/speakers etc)

Eibach springs are still not done with testing as I called in Eibach US office for status report early Dec. They have no clue as to when Eibach Germany will sign off on the springs.

Im waiting. If the Eibach pro kit is consistent with its characteristics from the past as compared to H&R, it should be a comfortable option with slightly LESS of a drop than the H&R. I plan on running 21's and really want to see both options before making a decision.
