Noise from side bolsters?

Has anyone noticed that their driver's seat side bolsters squeak after you get in and start the car? I see them adjusting, but they now make an audible rubbing sound when I turn the car on and again when I turn it off.

I am guessing that it is just the leather rubbing somewhere, but it seems odd. Anyone else experience this?

Seriously!? You come here to complain about SB noise?

Be happy you have side bolsters.

On a serious note.. this happened on my E60 M5.

I am almost positive it's the mechanism inside of the side bolsters (beneath the leather). Probably just needs to be oiled. Dealer will take care of it under warranty. Not sure how invasive it is to fix.

Do not all cars have them??? Or was it added for '14?

They go back to normal when you turn the car off and then compress when you start the car. Mine do the same and I believe it's just the leather. It doesn't bother me at all. Just leave them open and the noise will go away.
