Imola Red M5

So I had a order for a f80 M3 and I order The CCBs and my order is delayed 4 months almost. I came across a F10 in Imola and wanted to know what you guys think of this color on a F10. It would be very unique. I really wanted a f80 but my lease is up in May on my e90. My build date for my f80 was suppose to be May with early July delivery but the CCBs set it back to July build with a September delivery. Now I see this Imola F10 and the killer Residuals on the M5s atm IDK what to do!

Pictures!!!
It's your choice in the end, if the M5 is too big then no good, but other than that I would go M5 depending on DISCOUNT, don't pay anything close to Book price.

But then again, you could lease an F10 for 2 years and then get the M3, that way you get the best of both worlds.

I believe that we have seen two Imola M5s on the board, It's a classic M color and the M5 looks awesome with it. But I think that your question is whether you want a 5 or a 3. If the 5er works for you, you'll have a unique and classic M.

F10 M5 (fully optioned): High end luxury car with close to 600hp. More power than the M3/M4, but heavier.

M3/M4 (fully optioned): Nice quality, but not as nice as the M5. Less power, but much lighter and will handle very well. Lots of cool hardware, CFRP parts.. Brand new generation M3.. therefore the "hotter" car in the BMW stable.

Nobody can decide for you. Honestly the best way to decide is to make a list of qualities (quality/luxury, performance, weight, v8/v6, etc) from high importance to low importance. Then it's an easy decision because they are such different M vehicles that it will be either one or the other.

If you are leasing, the M5 will be a better deal than the new M3.

I don't know if I would ride it... But that Imola M5 IS stunning. I think it needs to have black (or charcoal) wheels and black out all the chrome and nice tint.

Either way...You can't go wrong. Let's face it... This is a 'first-world problem'.

Good luck!

I'd get that M5 all day long... I am coming up on a point where I will be having to give my M5 back due to military deployment. On my return to the states, I can basically get any car I choose to buy, and am near 100% I will replace it with another M5.

Imola Red, with those wheels and chrome accents is beautiful... also with that color you could go all black accents and it would look equally beautiful... though there may be a couple other Imola M5s out there, I bet big money yours will be one of a kind for miles around.

With Carbon diffuser and lip, Black front and side gills. My friend works at the dealer and can get this car for a steal.

I would take the M5 especially if it is a good deal financially; then swap for the M3 in a few years after the bugs have been ironed out and there are good deals to be had!

Thats what I was thinking and going Individual on M3 in a few year and the LCI will be out. I have a 4 and 5 year old children. Cant do wrong with extra space. Miami Traffic blows too. The extra Luxury and space in traffic would be really nice.

Pretty much what avlnch said here.

Get the M3/M4 if you want exclusivity for about 6 months, are going to take it to the track more than twice a year, or want a fully optioned out car (including CCB's) for less than the price of a base M5. But I'm telling you with the right stuff, the M5 has no comparison. The M5 really is a luxurious Private Jet, the M3 is a nice Piper Malibu. There's no way I'd get an M3 over an M5 unless I was just going to turn the M3 into a track rat and wanted to have more fun on the track, which has it's benefits in some places within America. Also, if you ask me, I think the M5 is the sexier of the two.

I agree with you, unless if you want a 2 door car, then you should get the M4

And trust me, about the September/October timeframe this year car meets and car shows are going to be flooded with M3's and M4's and will begin to lose their novelty, just like what happened when the F10 M5 first came out.

I'm not fan of the Style 601M wheels, but otherwise that IR M5 is stunning. DO IT!

Personal preference of course. But those 601 wheels look the nuts on the IR M5... Every M5 I think. Go m5 route for couple of years then go lci m3/4 with comp pack... that's what I intend on doing...

Given there is 1000lb weight difference between the two, I would say that you should choose which car you want based on how it drives, not based on purely lease economics and delivery dates.

I like the M5, but I also had zero interest in the E90 M3. That gives you a sense of how different the cars are.

I may pull the trigger on this just went to dealer 62% residual!! Car is so beautiful. Carbon all over. Chrome needs to be tinted. The exhaust note is insane.

Drive that back to back with M5 and then make a decision. Don't forget with right exhaust, M5 will sound better.

Plus the Mercedes dealer I was at was so much nicer than our local BMW dealers. BMW service here is so bad.
