Need some advice

I recently purchased the H&R sports spring and the 12/10 spacers. I took my car to my local shop to get my spacers installed and noticed that the rear has a nice drop. My car is a 2014 CP M5 and curious if there is any negative effect if I just install the front H&R sports springs? Please see photo bellow, rear and front are on stock CP springs.

I'm not entirely sure that you can even install the H&R Springs if you already have the Comp Pack. I thought I read about someone saying something about that. Ask Dhirm5, I think he may have a better answer for you.

RPiM5, thanks for the reply. I will reach out to Dhirm5 see what he says. Is it due to fitment? or no noticeable drop from CP to H&R? I've noticed all the cars that are on H&R springs have lower clearance in the front compared to mine. Suggesting that going from CP to H&R springs in the front will yield lower clearance, but I can be all wrong...

Usually springs are developed as a full set and so I believe that installing just the fronts or just the rears will have a negative impact. Plus from what I see, the H&R springs give a slightly raked look, so if you plan on just doing the fronts, that raked look will be more pronounced.

I've got the h&r springs on my cp m5. Rear looks about 5 mm lower at most but the front is deffo much lower. I'll get some pics soon and post them up. I checked with h&r before install and there are no issues with fitting them to cp shocks.

Right - this is what I was told back in my E60 days; I wanted just to drop the front and leave the rear, and I was told by Eibach's techs that it would be bad to install just fronts or rears, that they're engineered as a set and it would be a bad idea not to install them as such.

I've heard that H&R, as well as Eibachs developed for the non CP M5 work fine on the CP car. Same with the KW sleeve kit.

So installing the springs should work fine on your CP car.

This was one of my concern just doing the front. I wouldn't mind doing all four, but curious as to how much of a difference CP versus H&R. Would the difference be noticeable. I hate to put it on and not notice anything else...

Thank you sir, interestingly my rear seems lower than yours on stock CP. My front is a tad higher I think. I have to check when I get home.

@bigfra - can you post a pic of the whole car? I love the black wheels on the blue - esp with the aggressive drop. Nicely done

I think I might wind up dropped on Eibachs with my CP. Def want a more aggressive stance - stock CP isn't low enough for me either.

I was thinking about pulling the trigger on the KW SO Kit, but I wasn't too crazy how the ride felt on my E92 M3 when I had it on. Event at comfort it felt like the car was on sports.

Now that's interesting.

Dave what's your impression of Eibachs - any noticeable change in ride quality? I suspect Eibachs on my CP would actually make it a bit softer overall since the CP springs are stiffer than Eibach.

bigfra - H&R on CP - any noticeable change in ride quality? Since you only have 600 miles maybe you never really got used to the CP springs?
