Correct, we use all OEM parts whenever possible. Although they require more prep we prefer offering a product that is 100% factory fitment.

Good to know. How will the painted parts hold up to chipping though? As good as OEM would?

Looks like the parts in question wouldn't be prone to chipping though as they're not in the front. I would be getting my black performance grill from BMW as an OEM part and side markers and vents from IND.

The parts will essentially hold up as well as the paint on your vehicle. Fortunately, the side marker area is not prone to a lot of road debris. Debris would have to hit the side marker very hard in order to chip through the clear, base coat, and primer/sealant.

That's if you don't have the camera mounted as part of the driver assistance package. If you do, BMW doesn't offer a replacement in black.

Im guessing for the time being you will need to remove the grill to have painted - although I'd suggest wrapping it to avoid rock chips.

They are M performance grills, but if you try to select an M5 it won't show up. My dealer said the M5 grills are different from the regular 5 series.

They show up for me with a 2013 M5 selected. I'm pretty sure the grills are the same on all F10s.

They should fit unless you have the camera (night vision)
