Auto Start/Stop Malfunction

Everytime I shut off my car I am getting an auto start / stop malfunction on my M5.

This issue starting popping up randomly ever since I got my Jb4 installed. I could fucking careless about the feature, but my car is still under warranty and I am paranoid to bring it in with the BMS Stage 1 installed as possibly that is the cause.

Anyone ever have a similar issue?

No issues here.

Have you asked Terry and given him the fault code?

If this is just the stage 1, just disconnect it and revert back to stock. Shouldn't take more than 30
Minutes to do. If the issue goes away then it's the BMS stage 1. If it's stays, it's not the stage 1

If it occurred after the install, definitely try this first before taking it in. Would hate for them to blame it on the BMS stage 1.

Hit me up if you need help, it's a bolt on each side and loosen the hose clamp and both intakes come out

Just remove it and take the car in.

Thanks man!

Just to be clear when the BMS Stage 1 is set to Map 0 this means that the device is completely passive. Meaning the only way a tech could tell its installed if he seen the wires or the piggy back unit?

That's the theory but if the unit is malfunctioning it could still affect you or affect them from being able to properly diagnose
