Austin Yellow M5

Looking through eBay today and stumbled upon on what appears to be an Austin Yellow M5. It's not actually and M5, rather a modified 5 series but does a fairly good job at looking like an M5. Anyway, I've attached the pictures, remember a thread talking about an AY M5 couldn't find it but here ya go

What's the link? Can't find it on eBay. The badge on the front grille is a dead giveaway...

hmmmm

There is no sunroof, wheels are probably 18" maybe 19" ( knock offs )
Front seats are from the 520 -ish . No brakes as well.

Not my cup of tea at all.

I have Debagged my M5 to look more like a sleeper ( incognito ) . I don't want to be recognized. On the other hand there are others, that will like that sort of a thing..... what's the point ? I'll never get it.
That is my 5 cents worth

I like the sleeper nature of the real M5. But it still has some giveaways like quad exhausts. I love the exhaust of new RS6's. They house each of the twin exhausts in a single elliptical exhaust. So you really have to look closely to see the quads. That is so cool. Wish they have that option in the M's in future.

And yes, spending all that money to make your 5 look like a M5 - really ghetto. And I usually don't like any changes to the OEM look no matter how expensive it is.

Yikes. I like Austin Yellow a lot, but only on the M4... this is just ... ghetto!

The concept is just so dreadful, "full M5 conversion" yeah right....

This sort of thing is rife in the UK we have a certain section of people that think they are West/East side gangstas and need to be chillin in bling cars, but most haven't got the dosh so slap M badges and fake exhausts on standard cars instead.

All a bit sad really.

There is a fair bit of this ghettoness in U.S as well. You will be surprised. If you head to borough of Queens in NY, you will see quite a few examples of this...

It may be just a coincidence but is Austin Yellow the most popular color to transform into a "m car"?
I have seen a few other 5 series and 3 series claiming m status.
