Any reason you wouldn't consider the OEM M-performance CF diffuser? Fitment is perfect. I wouldn't be worried about damaging it unless you ran over something really big and it hit at just the right angle. Sure maybe a little damage from small debris might happen but the CF just looks too good to pass up

I don't want to bring carbon fiber on the outside of my M5 I have it on my M3 but like having that part abs black. EAS made one that was cheap and abs black plastic. plus 1200 for a little part is just not worth the cost to me.

Check out alibaba. You will find lot of options there. Of course, fitment could be an issue but nothing that some 3m tape and few small drills can't sort out.

iND has the carbon fiber on sale right now. I might pick one up and wrap it. I also don't want carbon on the outside.

Very easy to install. Only probably takes 15 minutes and some patience. There is a write up in the DIY forum: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1205882

Just need a Torx T27 bit and a plastic trim remover. Just be patient with it when removing. The OEM CF piece slides in like butter. Good luck
