Evolve Supercharged E92 M3 vs F13 M6 and others. Oh and 7 sec faster than a 445 hp tuned 1M with a very similar motor to the S55 ..... 08-Oct-13 : Evolve Automotive We attended a shoot out organised by Performance BMW Magazine that pitched modified BMW's against the new F13 M6. The magazine featuring this article is the July 2013 edition which is readable in PDF format below. 30-130 MPH results on the day with claimed BHP by the car owners. The test was carried out at private runway with a positive (uphill) slope. The times should therefore be taken in context with the cars tested on the day. Evolve SC M3 600 BHP 11.3 Stock F13 M6 11.8 DMS E60 M5 590 BHP 13.6 ESS E39 M5 640 BHP 14.7 Ray West 1M 454 BHP 17.6 Bearing in mind that the new F13 M6 costs £100,000 we are pleased that you can build a car, in this case a E92 M3 DCT, which is faster than the new BMW flagship model for less than half the cost. No taking anything away from the new M6 though as it is a fantastic car out of the box. Imagine what some tuning will do for it! |

I love how many of these discussions on various things devolve into a M vs. P-car debate...
M cars are awesome -- glad to see this new M3/M4 is going to be amazing in its class P-cars are (by and large) awesome -- only reason Porsche sells some of the less bespoke variants is because the market demands it -- its just good business I Love my M5... if I had another 6 figures for another car, the 911 would be on the top of the list by a wide margin. It not a matter of if I will ever own a 911, but when. Let's quit arguing over the flavor of ice cream and be happy that we even get to enjoy it!

In 2014 their line up includes 2 SUVs, 1 Sedan, 2 Sports cars (both with coupe and convertible variants). This means they make more non-sports cars than sports cars. In 2017, they will have one more sedan. And the longer-term outlook is for broader chassis sharing with Audi which means even more models which take Porsche away from its roots. I would expect Porsche versions of the A4 (TBD), A6 (Pajun), A8 (Panamera Gen2), Q3 (Planned), Q5 (Macan), Toureg (Cayenne), and TT (planned sub-Boxster 3 cylinder sports car). They will also get a higher end model above the 911 based on collaboration with Lamborghini. I don't think this is a bad thing. I am looking forward to the Pajun, and for the integration of more Audi technology into Porsche. Of course Maserati is also going away from its core market. And BMW did it a long time ago.

i would also argue that they also make a GT3 (which is hardly jsut a variant of a 991 base model), a GT2, and a cup car available for sale. So that way more sports cars than others. Btw, I really don't want audi/vw things getting into porsches. it should be the other way around. |

Yeah but Evolve has been working on a tune for the M5/6 for quite a while now (I know this because he PM'd me)...where is it? I hope he pulls it off. Seems like a good guy. However, these damn cars have sooooo much power. I took the M6 out the other day after not having driven it for a month or two. UNREAL power. Would waste my Porsche and California once it grips. I was rolling about 40 mph and stomped it after switching lanes in an underpass. It kicked out sideways, roared and squealed the ties so loud. It was AWESOME! Totally surprised me.
Side note: I swapped the DP over to the M6 when I sold the M5. That in my opinion is the BEST thing you can do for these cars right now hands down.

They do Boots but they are the real deal. Double-walled OEM modified.

How much were they? Just curious so people can make comparisons. Mine are true OEM with only a 400 cell. No smell. No CEL (on either car) and looking at them no one could ever tell they were not OEM.
