I think this is a very common issue on catless or piggyback tuned M5's. If you search the forums I think you will find a few threads on the issue. There even is a poll on drivetrain malfunction here

It's not just a catless problem. It happened in a similar way with my catted downpipes too (no tune).

That was due to you missing your last country run. We had 18 cars

Dang boots!

Sorry I missed that one! Next time for sure. I have the Dinan Stage 1 now and will be reinstalling the Meisterschaft so we'll have that to play with.

It will happen eventually. Missing catalyst creates issues with air/fuel ratios at certain rpm's under certain load. This causes a drivetrain malfunction, which translates into a CEL or a code. Some of us here will be selling BMS piggy backs along with CAN tools that will solve your issue. Since CAN tools are extinct they will probably go for a pretty high price. I know Boots is taking tabs of gold for his.

Every car will have issues with no cats and no tuning.

You will get occasional limp modes, but a simple restart will recover it.
With the ECU flash available now you will be able to ditch that and be worry free. We are working on a group buy, pm me for details.
