Brand New F10 M5 owner :-)
Hey fellow owners :-)
First of all....wow. Just wow. And then wow some more, and I haven't even taken her out of 'comfort' yet! lol She is Monte Carlo Blue, black interior, black 343 20's, looks and feels amazing. I also had the stock grille swapped for a full black version from BMW. Really makes a difference to the aggressiveness :-) Anyway, that aside, just a few questions I hope you can please assist me with? Profiles: How do you save a current profile? I can only see options for import and export. The manual isn't very clear but I assume that all current settings are saved in the current profile in use? Or am I mistaken? In fact the whole profile thingy is a bit confusing to me, and I'm very techie ha ha Also, how do I set my profile to allow the wing mirrors to automatically fold when I lock the door? ( and then automatically unfold when I unlock) Can this be programmed? Finally, how do you adjust the rear view mirror? The manual says to rotate the underneath but it doesn't appear to want to move and I don't want to force it in case I cause any damage. Just trying to sort the anti glare thingy out and cant seem to adjust / dip. Appreciate all help! Thanks guys walshy |

Congrats, welcome!
As for profile, re: mirrors that sounds like coding to me. Have mine coded to fold only if I press and hold the close button (ribbed handle part). Rear view mirror? Grab it and tilt or pan in the desired position ;-) Or am I getting something wrong here? #H

Side mirrors need to be coded to fold if you do it via key..
What kind of deal did you manage to get on this car if you don't mind me asking

Thanks Taz and all :-) and yes you are correct, worthless it'd be, worthless man!! lol
Therefore I took a couple today just with my crappy iPhone 5 camera, but when I get her all CQuartz'd up and detailed I will get the proper camera out for some much better shots. In the meantime, here she is!! :-D Oh, and back to the rear view mirror, i'm still confused lol.....on most vehicles, there's usually a level at the bottom so you can flick the mirror down for anti glare. Does the M5 not have this? walshy |

Sure I don't mind! I did 6 x 35 basically. My monthly is approx 980 ish off the top of my head. I did get a few options tho ( HK, Multi-function seats, wheels, piano black trim etc) I shopped around and got the best deal I could find. What about yourself? Do you know anywhere here in the UK where we can get coding? Thanks mate walshy |

Hey Walshy,
Congrats on your new M5. I have a Monte Carlo Blue with Silverstone interior - had it for about 2 months and I love it. To answer a couple of your questions, or certainly from my experience so far... press and hold the lock button and the mirrors, windows and sunroof will all close. The rear view mirror dims automatically when headlights appear from the rear. You should see a little black dot in the mirror, that's the sensor. As for profiles, I've not looked at these yet so can't answer that one! Love the adaptive LED's and everything else come to think of it! Mark |

Oh and extra thanks Mark for the response, I will certainly try the holding thingy and see if it closes the wing mirrors?
And good to know about the rear view mirror, I can now finally stop trying to twist the circular thingy at the base! I should have known better the little dot was a sensor! Saw on another thread, and to make people aware, there's a little storage box just next to the steering wheel under the light switch for those who didn't know, loads apparently don't lol Walshy |
