We intentionally dropped boost after 6K and tampered it off to be nice to the turbos. The customer is going with upgraded turbos so this will change.
Thats some crazy ass blueline power! I assume this customer had at least catless downpipes? That seems the requirement for most stage II flashes. Also, was it just a flash, or did you fine tune on the dyno? Sounds like it was dyno tuned because you adjusted boost down after 6k....

This customer had Catless downpipes and full RPI exhaust. It was an impressive car to say the least. I look forward to it getting the turbo upgrade.

We can adjust the boost easily via torque limiting tables in the software. Doesn't need a Dyno tune to tailor desired boost levels.

On my F82 M4, I have the boost trailing up linearly toward 4,000 RPM to prevent shredding the tires. Otherwise the car is just completely useless on the road. It's a fine balance

Mike, boost tailering for the M5 seems like a good idea for those running OEM clutches and maintain traction is to reduce torque between 1800 to 3000 rpm ramping up, at the momment its a cliff from 1800 - 2500 rpm then flat.

Yup, those who push it hard with stage II we recommend transmission upgrades. I haven't managed to get a transmission warning on mine yet, but I still have stock DPs and will likely keep it that way.

For those that haven't seen some of the torque limiters, have a look a this thread which shows the limits between a competition package vehicle and a non comp pack: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1237453

We can always do a milder or more aggressive calibration depending on the customers needs.

What other mods besides BPM Stage ll tune?
Downpipes and RPI full exhaust.

How does the DME's handle variance over the stock torque limiter graph ?

Has to have some hysteresis or the simple piggy's that just "add" 3psi everywhere by faking the tmaps would not work.

Such a good question but can't get an answer from "Tuner"

The question is a bit ambiguous and more clarification is needed to answer it.

Onfire feel free to PM with more details.

Thanks

I made 650whp/683wtq yesterday on BPM Stage 2, 100/93 octane blend, and supporting mods. Will make a full post with appropriate graphs this week.

Mike at BPM is a legend.
