More pics of my 'new to me' Singapore Grey M5!

First, I'd like to say that if any of you are "Audiophiles",...and are either ordering a new M5 or picking up a used car,....and have a choice of "B&O System" or no B&O,....Get The B&O! If there is another automobile with a better OEM sound system, I'd like to hear it! It sort of makes me recall the days of my '88 535is,...where I stretched the stock sound system from the OEM BMW system to some 20 speakers,...added 10 to the stock system,...complete with e-Crossovers,...100Hz sub output,...Mids,..Highs, etc. Everything was very neat,....tight,...and no rattles. But I digress back to today, and note that the B&O system in the M5 deserves its own award if you ask me. I could be wrong...

That said,....here are a few pics of my "No Name ///M5" (until I select a new nickname). Note, nothing special,...as there was too much bright sun out today,...need a nice overcast day!

Cheers...

looks like a loaded beauty! I've got the HK and love it ... I'm sure the B&O is worth every penny. The acoustics in these cars is pretty good.

What they heck is on the steering wheel? Get that off ... looks like what you'd find in a NYC taxi cab.

Love your new ride ... congrats & enjoy!!

Thank you. Sorry, can't remove the steering wheel cover! Reason why is two-fold? These new BMWs have very slippery steering wheels - IMO!,...Plus it keeps the leather from getting all marred up from rings, etc.

I knew I'd take a bit of heat over it,...but that's just my choice. It's probably the only mod I'll do the car and in some 3 to 4,...to whatever years from now, the new owner will appreciate that I took care of the leather on the steering wheel,...at least I hope so.

Congrats on the ride. I don't expect to change your mind on the steering wheel issue but consider this. You are saving the wear and tear for someone else to enjoy. In other words, you are dealing with that (no offense) ugly steering wheel cover to protect the steering wheel for the next owner, who like you said may not even appreciate it. In my opinion, enjoy the car and put your own hands on that nice M wheel. It's not like you will get a single penny more for the car down the road because you protected the steering wheel from daily wear and tear.

Either way, enjoy the M!

Im with Slammed ... life is too short! I will tell you that i marred the heck out of my 550i's wheel with my CCW. The wheel seemed to heal after some leather cleaner, conditioner, handling and summer heat. I think you may be OCD on this one but its your car and youre the only guy whose opinion matters. Just a shame to have ones eyes drawn to the WalMart cover on your German work of art.

LOL,...Walmart! I got it from Autozone,....that has to count for something.

You guys are focused on a steering wheel cover,...something that is quite petty. Don't you know that our precious BMWs aren't made with, ...ah, 100% BWM parts. I'm more concerned about cheap @ss faulty Takata airbag in our cars exploding!

Beautiful car but that steering wheel cover reminds me of my Dad's Oldsmobile Delta 88 when I was a kid.

The look

I take your point about the steering wheel cover....But then you should complete the look;
sheepskin seat covers to project the leather and a good coat of Armor-all to protect the dash and centre console
