Show your M5 with dog pictures

Hi my name is Alex, i´m 29 and live in Munich, Bavaria.

Right now, i´m driving a Mini Cooper S, BMW E46 LCI convertible and a BMW LCI X5 40d.

The reason for my new thread is, i´m living between Munich (BMW Welt is 10 min) and Garching (BMW M is 5 min), and i can´t wait any longer untill i will be a BMW M owner.
I´m lurkin for one, since i´m a kid.

At this point, i have to find some good pro´s that a M car is even as dd pracitbel. so i need arguments for my wife, to get her on the dark side

Sometimes, it should be a dog hauler aswell.

This is our Family dog, named Leica, a 9 months old german shepheard.

I´m happy to (hopefully) see some nice shoots from M5 & your Dogs

Hmmmm

Apologies for frustrating your wishes but given an M5's high quality leather upholstery, fine finishes, soft, shaped rear seat and lack of attachments for restraints, I would have thought it would make a very impractical dog hauler. As a minimum it would need to have lots of protection for the seats, restraints threaded through from the trunk and would need vacuuming pretty regularly. My sister's car is a regular dog hauler and it always smells of damp dog and has loads of scratches where they climb in and out.

Just my opinion, but wouldn't a station wagon be a much better vehicle for such a large dog? Large loading door, solid, flat floor that's not sensitive to claws and easy to protect with a trunk liner, loads of anchor points for safety restraints and no dog hair in the passenger compartment?

Hi Steve, at this time i dont have some real alternatives.
1. BMW 550xd -> got a diesel today, i miss the Sound badly
2. BMW X5M -> not really a sportscar in my opinion, besides M3 or M5 + fuel consumption is very high
3. Mercedes E63 Station wagon -> right now, to expensive

Magnus and his sister Matilda playing on the beach. From there they proceeded to ride home in the back seat of the M5. Thankfully had a seat cover on but there is still a lot of cleaning to be done.

I don't even let kids near my car, let alone pets.
