Maintenance tips? - Platinum full Merino leather, Pianoblack trim

Nothing like to level of perfection of your car, but I have a BMW with Merino Leather and Piano trim on order.

I would very much appreciate any tips on keeping the leather and trim looking new, I assume it is a priority of yours?

After 5 years the piano on my last BMW had millions of microscratches, but I love it so much I ordered it again anyways.

And I've only had Dakota before this. In my case it is black merino with contrasting stitching - so it is more about the wear protection and the side bolsters than the cleaning.

Check out this telling comment from Scott26 (who is a bona fide source of inside info on what's going on at BMW):

My takeaways is that the color was developed for a special request from the OP. His position is he would prefer people not to copy it, but to create their own color. That's why he isn't sharing the name. Seems reasonable to me.

This is now what I want to do. I want to create Frozen Unobtanium.

could you give us an idea of the sound of the Competition Package exhaust? Haven't heard one in person yet and youtube videos are also extremely rare by now.
Greetings from Bavaria

Greetings from Bavaria
I'm on a trip at the moment (in Bavaria ). But as soon as I am back home I will make a vid and try to capture the sound of the CP exhaust realistically.
But don't expect an "inferno" like the exhaust sound of RPIM5's. Nobody can compete with that!!
However, I like the CP exhaust. It sounds deeper and louder and you can drive it daily anyway even on longer routes without getting bloody ears.

Gladly you understand me, Stealth.

I'm looking forward to seeing your next special frozen color.

SCOTT wasn't talking about this car, because there is at least one other BMW that is painted in the same color.

Do you mind posting the link again?

I'd like to see how this color looks on the F31.

@ SAL
The leather is already 4 months "old" and I wear blue jeans. But if you clean the leather regularly it always looks just as new!
I know that because my wife's X3 has a similar interior and wearing jeans stains the leather. Also I have a five-year old daughter. I regularly clean with soapy water using Lux flakes, and it's very gentle on the leather.

Happy motoring ... I am sure you can't wipe the grin on your face

You should give the M division/BMW corporate a lesson on how to make nice blues. This is what I hoped Yas Marina Blue would look like, and instead they created a smurf mobile on the 15' m3! Beautiful car. McGuire's leather cleaner gets the jean stains off very easily, I have Opal White as well its not as difficult as people make it out to be and I have a 15 week old Pitbull!

Thank you!
Concerning the leather I use SONAX leather cleaning foam for several years now and it works very well! But I will try McGuire ' s leather cleaner, too.

You haven't really admitted the real name of the colour...just wrote that's what you 'could' call it.

I agree with the poster who mentioned if you're not willing to share full information of the car with FELLOW enthusiasts then keep the pictures to yourself.

No need to hide the VIN and colour code lol. You lost my respect, which might not mean much to you. However, having that much money + no respect is a fail in my humble opinion.

Now I will leave and just go back to my boring Individual Fire Orange M3. </3

What an odd ball.... It's called 'individual' for a reason... Get you own colour...
