Anyone in Bay Area with some mods?

I've had my '14 comp M5 for a week now. Still getting used to the car, but I have a few observations.

1. It's very luxurious, so much so I've found myself driving it like a grandma to enjoy that part of it.
2. When moderately pushed, it is so deceivingly fast, the speedometer doesn't seem to be accurate because the acceleration is done without any drama.
3. When pushed hard, its a beast in terms of acceleration, but still seems quiet even with the comp exhaust.

I'm curious if there are many of you in the SF BAY Area that would be willing to meet, or point me to some local shops that have M5s with some simple mods I could experience/hear first hand.

Thinking a downpipe would help. Not sure if it would still pass smog with the main cats, or if it would drone.

thx

Congrats on the purchase! I am in the Bay Area. Here's a link to a post providing pics of my M5 wherein I list the several shops who have contributed to the build. The majority of my mods are listed in my signature. I have a fairly comprehensive build, but of course, there are no limits. Good luck!

I'm also in the Bay Area 707 area to be exact. Are you guys planning on going to the Cars and Coffee at Blackhawk April 2nd? That would actually be a nice meeting spot!

I was actually considering it. I've been less than impressed with the Bay Area Cars and Coffee crowd. The air is thick with douchebaggery and discussions often devolve to a series of questions aimed at establishing one's position on the socioeconomic totem pole; d*ck measuring basically. This said, I would love to meet fellow M5 owners in the area.

I can't make it this Sunday. Your comment is funny yet true...
Although it's funny when I'm in my Datsun Roadster talk is usually centered around the cool little car..

lol I totally get what you're saying the scene here is a little different.

With that said I'm not like that at all. It would be nice to see fellow f10 owners there! I'm actually going with a big group of m-cars.

Hey man! Congrats on your car! Where did you get it? I think it was mine before on a lease : ) Ended last December. Mind sharing last 4 of the VIN?
