1. How do the seats feel compared to the M5/M6? Also, just confirming that there is no ventilated seats in the M4 even though there are perforations in the seats.

2. What did it smell like?

I love the smell of my M5's leather in the morning. Smells like....victory.

I'm on my phone using mobile site, don't know how to post pics. m3 in my opinion doesn't look nearly as good, but m4 is awesome. Full leather, HUD, I think it's a worthy comparison to the m5. Lot of legroom in the back too.
Seats were AWESOME, look good and feel great. Lot of contrast stitching all over the dash, nice carbon fiber, looks great in Austin Yellow. Nice wide stance.

m4 ED here I come (and wasn't expecting to say that)

Saw a lot of other cool stuff. Really liking the Macan Turbo - that was excellent. Almost as big interior as Cayenne. It's a winner in my opinion.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! That's what I was afraid to hear.

I'm still reserving judgment until I am able to drive one. The exhaust note may still kill it for me. Lol!

They wouldn't comment on ED date but regular on sale is June 21 - with the M5 ED was a week or two later so I'm guessing July 4 weekend

I'm guessing they are not going to let people sit in the M4 when the show opens up to the general public later this week. Hmmm...

I have just ordered an M3 to replace our M135i (which I don't think the US guys get....although the imminent M235i is the same car in a coupe body). Wasn't sure whether to go M3 or 4 but I chose the saloon as the coupe is too similar to my M6.

I wasn't sure on Yas Marina blue and in any case, I didn't want another blue car (my M6 is San Marino), the M135i is white so wanted a change, black is a no-no with a carbon roof and I didn't want grey. So, that left Sakhir Orange and picture of the M5 below inspired me to go for Silverstone inside. I hope it's nearly as nice under the UK's typical grey sky's!!

Key spec I've gone for is DCT 'box, reverse camera, heated steering wheel, sun protection glass, heated REAR seats (the missus convinced me that when she is transporting her friends and family, they really need these?), adaptive lights, Harman Kardon, head-up display
and speed limit display.

I don't think it'll feel anywhere near as quick as the M6 and it won't be as refined or as luxurious and its for all those reasons that I like the M6. But I imagine the M3 will be hugely more dynamic and fun and as such has it's own purpose thats very different from it's bigger brother. Roll on June.....

Explain why m3 wasn't as good but m4 was awesome?

Yes, but don't think it'd suit the M3 shape as well as the M4. If I was going for the coupe, I'd almost certainly have gone for yellow.

Heated rear seats are actually quite nice; your passengers feel snug on a cold day. My daughters have hinted at a "mutiny" if my next car is without!
