Pure Stage 1 Upgrade & SSP Spec X clutch Install Thread!
Hello, I am Garrett. Owner of Endless Motoring. We just received our goodies from SSP and Pure for our project F10 M5. I will be installing the turbos as well at clutch this week, providing images and any questions answered on the install the best i can! We are new to the forum and just wanted to give you a analysis and DIY-ish overview! Cheers
All parts were purchased from Mo at DME tuning. Great tuner and friend. Current mods on the car are as follows- Gruppe-M carbon intakes, Akrapovic carbon-Ti exhaust, AMS Catted DP's, JB4, DME BEF. last dyno was 661WTP 732WTQ running map 7 on MS109

This will be a great thread! Lots of pictures and explanations will be appreciated.
Why are there after market clamps on the plumbing to the inter-coolers? Have you done other mods to this engine before? |

The factory clamps are crap. I had been advised by Mo to exchange them for turbo clamps when i did the BEF tune. i had FBO before running a map7 tune from DME tuning.

Vehicle is also in process of a deep color change wrap..for the 5th time now. At my shop we specialize in automotive wraps also. So this being our shop car gets completely tore down. Also makes it easier for working on the engine compartment

forgive me pls but i thought that the stage 1 pure turboo's pretty much do same as stockers with just more efficiency ?
i was under the impression that for actual gain's when upg turboo's going stage 2 was the way ? im new to all this past full bolt on so forgive my ignorance in advance , looks like a serious project in any way you slice it ans cant wait for real world result's once she's all buttoned up ! NEIL |

Correct! We have found with stage 2 turbos we gain top end gain of 400rpm without taper, but with the stage 1 can actually make more power down low which is more in my favor. Both are awesome choices for upgrades!
