newbie here,intermittent traction control light

hi everyone,
i'm hoping someone has had this fault already as i have been back to dealer a number of times and we are unable to sort it as yet.
i have a bmw m5 2006 saloon model with a strange fault....
about 8 out of 10 times i fuel the car, within a mile or so the traction control light starts flashing,i have also tried stopping the car and just remove and refit
the fuel cap and this had the same effect after driving about a mile.
i have been out with a technician a couple of times and it has come on once while he was with me, this was directly after refuelling. i have also tried another fuel cap but the fault remains.

HELP NEEDED

many thanks

adrian

I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but could it be that you're actually having imperceptible traction issues? Is the blink at at fixed and continuous rate? Sure it's not the check engine light???

Quite odd.

My traction control light is ALWAYS blinking

hi savela,
thanks for your reply...
it actually happens while cruising in traffic straight after filling up with just a touch of acceleration, if i lift off the accelerator traction control light goes off, however if i press accelerator while it's blinking i get virtually no acceleration at all. as i mentioned in the post it happened once while a bmw technician was in with me and he could not understand it either.

regards
adrian
