Item Interest
Selling my F10 M5 Rear BBK (Brembo GT 380 MM or 15" Drilled Rotors - 4 Piston). The setup has roughly 500 miles on it as the car was sold shortly after the install (and the OEM brakes were put back on).

Original price was $3700 + shipping... Selling for over $1K off with only 500 miles... It's a good deal.

Comes with the Rotors/Pads/Calipers as pictured.

I contacted Brembo and these will only work on 2012-2016 BMW F10 M5's.

Price $2,500 + shipping

I'm just curious but why would you install these on an F10 M5? Since the stockers are 6 piston wouldn't this be considered a downgrade?

You may have misread. These are for the rear only. Only the fronts have 6 pot brakes on the F10 M5, these are quite a bit bigger/better than the OEM 2 pot rears.

Matches the front better in terms of stopping power.

Let me know if you're interested.

You are right, I did misread. Any difference in stopping power and distance? Any verifiable results?

Parking brake is gone with the system, worth it IMO. I don't have hard concrete data but the 4 pot Brembo do have better stopping power (you can tell) and the bigger difference is less/almost no fade whereas you will get some with the OEM rears. I'm contacting a rep that I know regarding if there is data comparing the two with OEM front brakes.
The bigger surface area of the rotors also means better heat dissipation (again just helping with the fade/more consistent braking if you ever drive your car hard or on the track).

When I did my research I also noted most people with M cars in general that upgraded to the Brembo's mentioned better feeling/modulation.

If you do any hard driving or track driving its worth it IMO. Also, looks way better than the "puny" OEM rear brakes.

Just my opinions.

Email from Brembo USA
"It will not affect the DSC/MDM or ABS/traction control but you will lose the hand-brake function since you are replacing the OE caliper that has the hand-brake built into it.

Best regards,

Rick Sine, Senior Account Manager"

Also, he said from 60-70 mph there will likely be no real difference in stopping distance, however from high speeds or repeated braking there would be a large advantage using the Brembo upgrade.
