No it's not the same. CS is darker than this.

After some more searching, M5driver suggested that MB and Nissan already offer this paint. If true, I'm assuming its the Super Silver paint on the GT-R?

I tried to get a sample of the color here in the US, and all three paint suppliers (Sandox, ...) said is it not yet available even in small quantities. BTW, both M-B and Nissan offer the same color, but I did not check availability. My local BMW paint experts say that part of the expense is due to the additional prep work. While a normal 600 grit sanding would suffice for most other colors, 3000 grit is required for P13 as it will show even the smallest imperfection in the body panels. It will be similarly expensive to repair.

For reference, Frozen Bronze on an M6 GC runs about $5500 extra.

The new brown interior would be incredible with pure metal silver (silver/brown is a big Porsche combo). But at +$10k, I'll never see it!

Big fan of this..have always loved silver, especially since my TiAg e46 M3. Definitely super exclusive as BMW doesnt offer a real silver for the M5, I consider Silverstone a lighter blue.

It's a tough color to capture in pictures. Similar challenge as Brilliant White , in pictures and low light situations it looks more like a "regular" silver (like Brilliant White looks like Alpine)
However in the sunshine or under neon lights it does really pop and looks amazing.
You'd also notice a difference in shine and deepness if you'd have another SS colored car next to it.
Certainly not a color for someone who wants to draw attention to the car ever time people see it.
I'd be tempted but the even more complicated repair process as compared to Brilliant White would likely scare me off

$8,000 Euro. Yikes! I wonder if this is similar to a special paint M-B had a few years ago? Can't remember the name, but it had extremely fine grain metallic elements so you could not really see the metallic flecks at all. Just a pure, smooth metallic look. Follow Up: I remembered it. It is called AluBeam, and is stunning in person.

What's the closest silver to mercedes' iridium silver metallic?

What about titanium silver? Is that metallic? Is that a $5000 up charge for the m5?

Is Moonstone kind of in between silverstone and titanium silver? Or more of a pearl silver? Our dealership has a pearl silver X6.
