Do you know if it's the same for the non-M5 F10 mirrors?

I'm confused what the method of taking off the mirror cap is just based on the photos. Do you pull up, left, right, down?

I hate this post because it's like a magic show... you watch it, but have no idea how the hell the guy actually did it.

I replaced mine, and tons of ridiculously tiny plastic tabs broke taking the stock covers off. This could essentially be replaced with a guy in an "iND" t-shirt giving the finger.

does anyone have a good way of doing this? i think pull upwards from the inside/car-side, then out? i want to try this without breaking any tabs.

anyone? i tried Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start and got nothing.

pulling up from the inside first will probably break some tabs no?

the way i got mine is by first getting the inside part open (stand so you are looking down the rear of your car) and get the part of the cap closest to the window. then just pull towards you... hard to explain.. ugh

edit, in the 2nd pic, where the guys left index finger is.. thats where i started.

So start on the inside. Pull up and towards the front of the car. ?
I could use a pic of the inside of a cap to see the tabs.

just done this. easy - does literally just pull off.

think i may have broekn one of the small clips on each of the stock covers, but new Cf ones went straight on.

nice subtle touch on the singapore grey.

I just installed mine full replacement mirror caps. All of above instructions didn’t work for me. I used the credit card or plastic card technique. Where the gap is in between the stock and the mirror liner u slip the card in and work your way around. This releases all the clips that’s holding the mirror intact. After you remove this. It’s simple swap. Enjoy and yes it makes a huge difference for light coloured vehicles.
