No no big deal. I don't my sisters husband so that's co. And my niece is just 12 and ignorant.

I'm not blaming Kobayashi, but 2 or 3 people ran into him today.

And that's close to the Ohh yeah moment. But it was from the other camera angle.

I don't think we can blame too much on Kobayashi....he stick with his line throughout the Kemmel Straight and Hamilton moved over when he thought he had cleared pass on him, without knowing the Sauber had caught some speed and slip stream. Hamilton left him no where to go.

Its just racing, you can't really blame either drivers as Hamilton was focusing on his turn and not looking on his left mirror.

"After watching the replay, I realise it was my fault today 100 per cent," said Hamilton. "I didn't give Kobayashi enough room though, I thought I was past."

Congrats to Vettel, a few comments on the actual race:

1.) First 10-15 laps were a blast, but it kind of settled into a routine after the SC

2.) I'm really starting to dislike DRS, particularly when it's poorly placed. With the tow up through Eau Rouge, there was no need for DRS - it just made passing TOO easy. We were denied several great battles thanks to DRS, and I really think that at courses like Spa, it is simply NOT necessary.

3.) Ferrari need to do something about pace on medium/hard tires. This is getting ridiculous, how they simply fall off a cliff in the latter half of the race.

4.) I think Hamilton was somewhat at fault for that incident. Kobayashi had nowhere to go - Hamilton moved to the right to defend his position, didn't check his mirror, and simply moved back over to the racing line (not realizing that Kobayashi was already there). It was an unfortunate incident.

5.) I think we can all agree that the season is officially over, now. There is absolutely no way anyone can catch Vettel at this stage. Congratulations to Red Bull and Vettel

the season is NOT over, but the championship certainly is. time for Mercedes and Ferrari to focus on next year's car.
DRS here was too much; I agree completely. However, I did not see artificial passes; it always seemed like the passer would go off into the distance haha

another comment, when Schumacher went 5th and Alonso and Button were battling, I secretly started hoping for them to both retire... which reminded me: remember the days of retirements? not crash induced, that is. I saw a guy slow down today, Petrov, right AFTER the race. In the good old days, into the 2000s even, you never knew what could go and when. Also, certain cars or conditions were known to be unreliable (malaysia heat, austria altitude, etc). Now, we all safely assume that unless they crash, they'll bring it home. I'm not saying any era is better, just an observation.

good race, unfortunate for LH, he was looking at a podium finish most likely. Good race by Button and MSC but yea, the season is pretty much finished

On the incident with Maldonado, I invite you all to reverse their roles in it. Would you still feel the same way about the respective penalties? I imagine if it had been Hamilton who swiped across in front, many more people would have been calling for a race ban. (Granted, I don't think much of Maldonado. I certainly don't think he should be in F1 from his performances in GP2.)

All I'll say on this, is that they were coming up to a corner. It isn't unreasonable to expect Kobayashi to hit the brakes a bit. Especially since he revealed he had no intention of repassing Hamilton.

Really, its just a shame Hamilton got taken out of the race for it. He hit the wall straight on with massive force. Must have knocked him about pretty good in the cockpit.

Pretty boring race result and I think this race pretty much seals the rest of the season off.

Brief Kudos to Button and MSC. Great results from both. A shame that Alonso couldn't get the Medium tires to turn on. His last phase of the race was anticlimactic.

Hamilton seems to keep finding himself in stupid situations. You can't score with a dnf.

Rookie Year he beaches is going into the pit area at the Chinese Gran Prix costing himself a World Championship.

3 years ago he runs into the back of Kimi Raikonnen in the pit exit area because he didn't see the red light.

Last year at Monza he goes too wide on the last corner and fly's off the track with 3 laps left.

Spa Qualifying he gets into it with another driver of no consequence.

And I'm a Hamilton fan. Well.......seasons pretty much over now we all know Vettle is well on the way to his 2nd world championship.

The bolded statement is incorrect. '09 is when he spun at the Lesmos corner trying to chase down the Brawns. Last year he DNF because of suspension damage caused by an overly-aggressive first lap with Massa.

He's always reminded me of Mansell, if any of you kiddos recall that far back. Extremely quick and super aggressive, but a bit too impetuous and hot-headed for his own good. It's sad - what makes him quick will likely keep him from being a consistent contender like Vettel or Alonso.
