Modifying vs voiding warranty
I recently purchased My m5 with warranty and planning to lower it and more. I was looking into dinan coilovers but my budget yields to cheaper options like kw, eibach or h&r. I'm worried if I choose the cheaper options, warranty might be voided since they are not Bmw products. Per dealer they only recognize authorize Bmw dealership products and needs to be installed by them as well. Am I stuck with just Bmw or dinan/Bavarian products to keep the warranty? Does anyone have a similar issue to mine, any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Dinan = no worry. My M5 has the entire catalog and it's been rock solid, no issues whatsoever. You get what you pay for. Couldn't be happier with the Dinan products.

Dinan will provide peace of mind as far as warranty is concerned but I believe there are products that are of equal or superior quality at a much better price point. With that said, if the warranty is your concern than go the Dinan route.
If you're tuning and worried about warranty then Dinan is really your only choice; I would be less concerned with suspension, exhaust, intakes etc. My .02

I ran into the same thing. Basically my SA at the dealer is going to replace many of the known parts to go bad and possibly even new turbos before my warranty ends. i am going to get all that done THEN do all my mods. Better peace of mind.
