Looking to sell my M5

My car will be 4 years old this september and I only have 22k miles on it. KBB price is still valued at ~60k. I love the car, but I don't need the convenience of a 4 door nor the luxury of the M5. Looking to sell to pocket / invest the $60k and lease a 911 4S. Yes I don't need AWD in CA, but I prefer the wide body of the 4S. I will probably lease the Porsche due to the low mileage I drive. What would you do? Lease money factors and residuals of P cars aren't as attractive and I even contemplated on getting a fully loaded M4 and lease for $1k or less, compared to $1,800-2,000/month on a 911.

Hmmm $60K. No CCB from the pics but nice combo. What's the full list of options? I'm looking to pull the trigger in 30-90 days.

That's my list of how I'd do it minus ccb which I'm on the fence about anyway. If you do decide to sell hit me up. I'd appreciate it. I'm a big BMW guy, keeping my e93 335i for when I want to go topless or stupid fast, and going to use the M5 for the DD work vehicle.

IMO, doesn't make sense to have CCB on a sedan which is mainly going to be a DD. I've taken the car on some light track days and never had a problem with the brakes at all. I went down to thermal raceway (BMW west coast performance driving center) and drove an M5 with CCB and it made sense in 90+ degree heat with a bunch of students hammering away on the cars.

Value just went down to $50K. I'll take it!

Haha... when I say light, it's LIGHT. 6 laps during a meetup with a pace car upfront and about 25 cars on the track without passing allowed. It was more of a parade lap. My track days at Thermal has been with BMW provided cars. If it sounds any better, I have never even used launch control once. Can't really do it in the streets of San Francisco or anywhere without being arrested.

Hehehe, I'm just messing with you trying to get myself into a sweet deal.

She's a beauty and I'd totally consider if I wasn't at the mercy of a trade-in.

Beautiful car!! Love the color combo and definitely would have preferred the CP. I would have seriously considered this over my M6 that I just purchased. I don't know if I'd get over no convertible though. Would have been an extremely difficult decision, especially the way your car is set up, it's absolutely beautiful.

Nice car, dealer will rape you on trade in value. You're looking at high $50s retail is my quess.

For reference, I just bought my 2013 M5 base 30k for $46k. I got a great deal though.

This is why I'm doing a private party sale. Depends on the dealer, but my previous S4 was traded in for max trade-in KBB value and my M5 was given at invoice. I have a friend looking to buy the M5 locally but can't commit until May/June as he is traveling a lot for business.

Do you guys have tax credit in cali?

Meaning, the value of the trade is taken off the value of the purchase and you pay tax on difference.

That's why trade in in Illinois isn't so bad since the tax credit adds $7000-$10000 savings in taxes on a $100k car.

Ok, ok. Fully loaded minus night vision, CCB, and full leather dash. Does anyone actually use night vision, if they have it equipped I'm sure it was already spec'd that way.

I spent the money instead to fully cover the front with xpel. Full hood, front quarter panels, bumper, headlights, side mirrors. No pre-cuts, full sheet to wrap every inch of the front. May need to replace hood clear bra as there are some etchings from droppings, tree sap, and stupid car wash ppl for rubbing too hard.

22,700 miles - weekend highway miles trip to the golf course. I take public transit during the week for work.

$55-56 in the private market tops unfortunately.
Take KBB with a grain of salt - there are 100's of 2014s for sale now.

Yah I use KBB and can't remember the other big one. I used excellent condition just because how much I baby any of my cars. I rarely street park so perfect bumper and even my side bolsters I maintain pretty well to minimize wear. I'm OCD nut.

Also zip code matters based on demand. Enter 94105 and see if that makes a difference. My friend who has a car broker searching for either an e63 amg and an M5, said it's easier for him to find an AMG at a better discount.

Zip definitely matters for retail... west coast pricing is much higher than midwest.

Yup. No demand for RWD in the Midwest. Yet I'm looking at a carrera 4s here in Cali
