I like being understated - a sleeper. Now lets hope BMW spent enough time on the electronic steering to get some feel back in it. The normal 5 series has as much sttering feel as my playstation. |

I'm a fan of understatement but this is a little too quiet for my tastes. BMW is putting the M5 squarely into executive super sedan territory (much like the RS6). That said, I suppose this isn't really different from where the M5 sat before, it just never really had the looks to go along with the classification.
I guess BMW decided that anyone who could really afford an M5 would already have something sporty in their garage anyway. I have no doubt that it will be fast as all get out but I would have liked a few more visual cues as to the car's abilities. I still like it better than the E60. And the side vents - ugh. Maybe Pontiac was having a fire sale on leftover G8 components. |

I'm pretty sure that is a carbon fiber roof. I think they can impregnate it with color or just paint in like a normal body panel.
They would probably paint it to stick with the whole understated M5 theme. |

If you are correct, it will make the decision to buy in the States and import it that much easier. With the 6.1% duty being offset by our dollar that may be in the $1.06-1.09 range it becomes almost a no brainer. |

In terms of appearances, there's little to show that this M5 stands out significantly from a F10 with M package. Not fair to a buyer who pays a lot more for it.
