Headlight washers.

Maybe I'm the only one...didn't realize that if you only pull on the windshield wiper stalk briefly, it won't activate the headlight washers. I kinda like this feature so I don't dirty up my hood unnecessarily.

I never use headlight or windshield washers. Then there's the times when my brain thinks I am in a MBZ and I use the M5 light stalk to change gears P to D. Then all you get is a god damn mess.

I always thought the headlamps don't engage unless the lights are on or set to auto?

Not sure there - I specifically recall one day when I pulled up to work after using my windshield washer and the entire front of my car looked like it had been flocked. Maybe the DRL's being on is the kicker, I dunno.

I do a formal test later and see.

Correct, they only activate if light are on.
