rear suspension (damper) problems

About 10 weeks ago my 2012 M5 went into the dealers for the rear suspension update, then about 3 weeks ago one of the rear dampers started to leak red oil. Last week this was fixed with a new damper, which has lasted all of 3 days and has now failed again.

Anyone else had leaky rear dampers?

That's strange.

But, FWIW, and I don't know BMW's stand on this, but in general, it's not a good policy to change just one damper - they should be changed in pairs so that the left and right are balanced and can age at the same time. Front by themselves or rear, okay, but not just one.
