Power outlets don't key off - 2013 F10

Hello just bought a radar detector for my 2013 F10. I was planning to route the power under the headliner and to the power outlet in the passenger footwell. However it appears to stay on even when the car is keyed off. I tried plugging it into the outlet in the center console and to my surprise, that one isn't keyed either.

I've never seen this before where all plugs appear to not be keyed. Just curious, is this normal, and if so is there a setting to change this?

I know a lot of guys tap a wire in the overhead panel, but I used a fuse tap on fuse #60 in the glove box (5A) which only turns on with ignition and turns off about 5 seconds after ignition off. Fuse map is in the trunk fuse compartment.

the mirror tap is the easiest and cleanest way imo. turns on/off immediately with the key.

I did the same. There's another thread here about it.

If hooking up multiple devices you can get a single cord with multiple ends. I posted the site in the other thread where you can get one custom ordered.

Thanks. Will have to test this. Long term I may consider the mirror tap to free the outlet back up.
