B & O - Yes Or NO ?

I have been looking at New Leftover 2013's. The Stereo is always my most important option. I have read here that some people have rattle issues, and am wondering is the B & O that much better then the Standard HK ? Any insight from people here who have the B & O would be great !

Get it. The issues are widely exaggerated and the standard HK stereo also has rattle from center speaker under certain frequencies. With the B&O they solved this issue with the latest SIB.

My first F10 had HK, my second F10 had B&O and my third F10 also has B&O. So I put my money where my mouth is.

Tried them both on the showroom floor, side by side, before I purchased. Hands down B & O is much better. Sound quality is much crisper and range is much broader. A definite must.

The B&O sounds better the louder you listen. Great system.

Before you take delivery have your dealer complete the B&O SIB.

I don't have it either. I am sure the sound is not as crisp as the B&O but the sound is actually pretty good with the standard speakers. I wouldn't pay this much for speakers. I use to have an S5 4 years ago and the B&O option was only $800 dollars.

Would I get it again? Yes.

I agree ... have the B&O in the '14 550xi and the Pro in the '11 535xi ... B&O is a much better choice hands down

Well worth the money; however, if you get a loud aftermarket exhaust (E-race--like me) you tend to have your windows down and listen to your exhaust tones more than the B&O. That's not necessarily a bad thing but just pointing it out for your consideration.

I had the unbranded HK on my 13, and now have the B&O on the 14. I find I don't listen to music loud enough in this car to get much benefit from it. When I'm in the M5 I feel immersed in the driving experience, and as part of that I want to hear the engine (and also radar/laser alerts). When I do crank it up it sounds amazing, but so far that hasn't happened much. The biggest plus for me is the appearance, it accents the interior very nicely. But is it worth $3700? Meh. It will vary by individual.

Only "caveat" with having the B&O is having good music source. Do not expect very good sound to come out when the only available source is from a 128Kbps (or less) MP3 or something similar streamed via bluetooth. A non compressed direct source would get you the best sound. Just my 2 cents.
