Erratic Idle

Im not sure if there’s another tread on this issue, but if anyone can advise on this it would be greatly appreciated. This just started recently during a cold start where idle would stutter and then jump to higher RPMs than norm. Could it be dirty MAFs that’s causing this issue? Thanks

Maybe not at all relevant but I experienced the same once at a cold start and then after 15 mins of driving the car suggested an engine oil top at my earliest. So did so and then it was fine....and been fine ever since....

it does adapt after driving but on startup it doesn't either way i'm hoping when it goes off to DME for custom dyno tune they'll get it sorted out there on the dyno.

If it’s during idling it could be your timing chain. My car had this issue, but once it was replaced by BMW it was all good.

They changed out my MAF and swapped my battery. It went away. I think it was the MAF sensor
