One change, and that's a nice haiku (despite what I assume was the unintentional use of the wrong English words):

M5 has vere very concervative numbers IMO
It should be almost full second faster than Xi whether it's 0-60 or 1/4 mile
And I'm not even going into M vs Xi comparison

P.S. It may actually be more than 560hp, who knows

560 HP / 510 ft/lb sounds good. We all complain about the horsepower wars and i think BMW simply matching the E63 is a good beginning to the end of it. I have trust that simply since they had more time, they will make the better car all-around.

It would be nice to start seeing the cars become more about the total performance and not a horsepower number.

And to the people saying its not aggressive enough, thats the point. Its not meant to be an imposing track car that everyone tries to race on the highway. Its supposed to be subtle. Thats the spirit of the M5.

Upon closer inspection I think you're right. These wheels do look a little more aggressive and pronounced than the Style 303Ms. To SlammedM6, I rescind my statement that these wheels will change on the production model. I still believe the mirrors will, and I'm still baffled by the non M-sport side skirt.

Agreed, mirrors and side skirts will change on the production model. You can see both in this spyshot:

What? Hell no. The side grills dont look aggressive, the Engine cover (hood, bonnet) is plain because it has no muscle lines or breathing grills. No Side skirt. No wide body.

I hope the final build doesn't look like this

just curious how the gran coupe will look and if there will be an m version, thats definitely the only bmw that make me salivate from the actual and future projects lineup. I thinnk the gran coupe have better looks and the M version may be faster as its my understanding it will be a lighter car.

If you mean the 6 Series Gran Coupe (rather than the still-just-rumors 1/2 or 3/4 series ones), search around this forum for artists' renders. It will look a lot like the concept from a few years back - basically a 6 coupe with a longer wheel base and four doors. I wouldn't expect it to weigh less than an 5 series though. Does the new 6 series 2-door coupe even weigh appreciably less than a 5 series? Because the 4-door is sure to weigh more than that does.

And yes, an M6 Gran Coupe is all but confirmed. It's a virtual guarantee. See here:

M5 customers since the early E12 M535i right up to the E60 like the actual car to do the talking , rather than let the visuals tell you what it's intentions are. M5 is in essence a business sedan , but it's a business sedan that transforms itself for those that crave more performance and enjoy driving.
End this thread right there.

Agreed - next to get a more sporty mirror. I'd take the side views off the e39 or the e60.

Black vents and some springs will cover my mods on this beautiful beast if black rims come as standard/option.

I hope they use the smaller M badge found on the e92 for the decklid.

I have to say, this is a very unattractive car...

It just doesnt look "right"... The grills are ridiclously large and the stance looks unbalanced to the nose.

It reminds me of a beached whale, or perhaps a dinosaur, considering its going to be sold in a 5.00 + a gallon US marketplace.
