Got Me a Efffff 10

Hey guys wanted to share my experience with getting my new car i previously had a F80 which i lovedd but unfortunately it was totalled in a accident a few months back im just glad im ok but i was missing my M so came across a pretty good deal on a Dealer Demo out of state a 15 M5 w 4800 miles w every option incl the Comp Pkge which i could still lease. So i took the plunge and let me say UNBELIEVABLE this car wow im speechless in alot of ways ive had alot of cars Porsches and E46s M3s and recently the F80. Those cars for what they are are the top of line they are sport cars that are refined. They have road noise they are comfortable for the car and perform unbelievably. But this F10 is a luxury car that has insane power on tap. I drove 600 miles on nice hwys and this car is so smooth and quiet im very impressed and the crazy thing the whole trip i left the car in comfort for everything and when i passed ppl this thing just took off i cant wait to play around with sport and sport plus.

Every review i seen online before getting the car they all trashed the M5 for weight which it is a heavy car but to me thats awesome for a hwy cruise and when u mash the gas the car seems to weigh 2000lbs thats the greatest trick in auto making i feel so kudos to M for that.

As for features the BO sound system is unreal wow if i was building a car and had to splurge a lil for $3700 option not sure i wouldve got it but seeing it came with the car wow it is very nice.

All in all im extremely happy with this car i feel its all things to all people you can have a cozy ride but then mash the gas and hang or even overtake some super cars thats pretty awesome. Glad to be a part of the group

Glad you are ok from the accident. Good find on the F10 M5.

Since you had a f80 M3, maybe I can pick your brain. I'm considering between the two cars past few weeks. Either order a brand new M3 or buy a used M5 with comp pack. If you had to do it over again. Since you had some feel for both, what would you do?

I am torn between the two. Brand new m3 will prolly run me about 77k and used competition package m5 is will around 70k plus extended warranty. Thoughts?

Carbonm3ny - I went to the dealer to order an M3 (called ahead and had the spec s entered). Saw the M5 and test drove and bought it. I came from M3. Very different feeling cars but I am loving the M5. It is just a beast. If you want a car that feels nimble/throw it around and very connected to the road then M3 is prob the best. But if you like the idea of a luxury car that is a beast in terms of power and still handles unreal than the M5. Can't go wrong either but they are different.

Thanks man
ohhh man the F80 and F10 are both unbelievable cars and like someone mentioned they are both different animals. For me i always have had coupes sport car type cars now with the M5 this is new too me the ride is so smooth and quiet the seats are so comfortable they are like home sofas haha i like the whole experience alot. And like i mentioned u mash this gas and this car is ridiculous fast.

So if i could do it again i would get a M5 with the comp pkge the car is too me the perfect car because you get luxury and supercar peformance. Now the M3 is no loser haha that car for all reasons is a sickkk car and love the look of it its one of the most beautiful sedans i think.
If you could test drive both and get a feel for what you like you cant go wrong with either, its like spending the night with a Blonde or Brunette supermodel haha

Congrats and glad that you like the F10. Your assessment sums up the beauty of the F10.....it is just a joy to drive on the highway at high speeds. The car just eats the miles. I prefer the F80/82 for drives of one hour or less. I prefer the F10 or F15/16 for drives in excess of an hour in duration.

Greatly put the M5 was eating the miles up is right its so comfortable and the car is just cruising at 100mph. Just a amazing car too me the weight isnt a problem but if they shed weight off it the next gen will be insane i cant imagine
