Leather Protectors from Baby seats

Anyone who has to transport a baby (or a monkey) in their car should seriously invest 40 bucks in getting these 2 things.

Baby seats are harsh on the soft leather in the car and can easily leave marks on the seat. Plus if you have a front facing car seat, the baby (or monkey) will invariable kick the seats given they don't know any better. That will put an imprint from their dirty shoes (or paws) on the seat back. It used to drive me insane when my son would do that. Then I saw this in baby registry of a pregnant friend of ours. Boom! I got them and they fit quite well. The seat back kick pads have a belt at the bottom but I don't use that belt. Instead I have tucked the bottom into the magazine holder of the seat.

I've got that kick mat in my car and the wife's rover. They fit good and definitely work. I have a very similar seat protector as well from a company named Lionheart that also helps big time.

The kick mats yes...the seat protectors I left out. Some car seat manufacturers will void warranty or liability of you use one from what I've researched, because the car seat may slide around a little.

I go the next level and buy a pet mat to protect the entire back seat.

My son is 2 and he loves to have fun with me by kicking the seats (sits behind me). Similar to your case, I love him a ton, but it broke my heart every time I saw those marks. Cleaned them up good and put in the kick pads. No worries at all now. His kicks are better then the massage feature of seats (yes I know those are active seats but that's how I sold them to my wife).

Can't believe I live without these 2 things all this time.

Interesting didn't know that. Where can I find the information? I have Recaro ProSeat.

Thanks for sharing

Yep I use the Clek mat and I have seat protectors for my wife's rover and my 5er as well. Best thing I ever purchased because my daughter is a bit rough on the interior lol

Dredging up old thread.

I actually own those kick mats, I think. They fit well in the e90 by going under the headrest. But the upper part doesn't manage to get around the M5 massive headrest thing. Unless there is a gap in there i'm not seeing.

You are right. They are not a perfect fit but good enough. I haven't had to clean my seat back once since putting on these kick mat. So for me it's good enough.

I ordered the Brica ones but wasn't happy with the fit so they ended up in the wife's car. I ordered these and have been very happy with them.

I did manage to get the Brica ones under the headrest, I didn't know it could go up that high!

But the bottom doesn't attach at all, I did just tuck the connectors into the magazine pocket. I might try those other ones.. How do they attach to the lower part of the seat? do they have enough strap to go around the massive seats?

Yep get the ones I posted the strap goes around the bottom of the seat perfectly. I'll take some pics next time I install them but they worked out great. Easy quick install and removal.

Thanks! $15 for the pair, will be here Friday. Fortunately my daughter isn't big enough to reach the HVAC knobs with her feet, so this should do it for a while. I hope by the time she is tall enough she doesn't wiggle around so much.

Lol good luck with that mine are 5 and 7 and their feet seem to somehow make it over to the HVAC. I've resorted to just taking there shoes off for longer rides. They even remove them themselves now when they get in my car most of the time lol they still have no idea how I know they touched it when the sync light goes out

Thanks man. Do take a pic and post.

Btw, the last pic for the product on amazon is cringeworthy. Shoes dropping in wet mud scraping against the seat. Ughhhhhhh!
