A letter from the local Dealership

My local dealership sent me an email today.
It was regarding my 2014 M5 lease which is ending in December. The letter said to get in a 2016 750i. $5000 off msrp. I am currently 16000 miles over and they were willing to void that too. The deal must be made by end if August. I thought there are no pull ahead programs on M5. Should I call the corporate to see if I can lease from any other dealers or it has to be specific dealers.

That is a terrible deal. They are trying to clear out the left over '16s.

My local dealership is advertising $7k off MSRP on the 750i. We just signed a new lease on one last week. Was going to order a '17, but we got nearly $15k off MSRP on one on the lot almost exactly how we would have ordered it.

Thats for the response. I did call BMWNA. They did say to ask other dealers if they would honor it for M5. For some reason BMWNA didn't know about the letter. They said we just send them out to dealers.

Why is it terrible? He's getting 16K miles voided as part of the new lease deal.

The letter was offering $5k off without any knowledge of how many miles he was over on his lease. Even if he were charged $0.20 per mile that is $3,200. $8,200 off of MSRP on a left over '16 is still not a good deal.

Dealers are pushing really hard to clear out the left over '16s now that the '17s are starting to arrive. I am thinking that we could have shaved another grand or two off of our deal if we pushed hard enough.
