Guys!! Am I crazy as I just ordered me this car!!!!
Tesla P90D with Ludicrous Mode!!
Nothing ever made me giggle as much! EVEN WITHOUT EXHAUST (That I will miss no doubt!! but heck 100 other things to like!!) Well maybe the California did But this thing with 2 rear seat extra on the back facing backwards for kids and no gas!! And feeling a little GREENER certainly won't be a bad feeling for a short lease 2 years! My wife was totally opposed especially I am not done with my M5 lease and still have 6 months to go but this deal wasn't gonna happn again as they are very few and between color and specs can be hard to locate!! And couldn't pass up so I insisted on her test driving it and lo and behold I was right!! She loves it and didn't quite object while I am signing papers and delivery in 6 weeks from out of state! Will post pix once in my garage next to M5 2.8 sec and Q mile 10.9 sec are easy to believe after test drink it and not a shabby range too around 250 miles !!!! Specs Fully loaded Model S P90D L Mode with all options including Autopilot and Summon !! 21" black wheels 2015 model so got a good irresistible deal on it! This is its stock exact contractual picture Thoughts ?! Be nice and gentle LOL joking An excerpt from Motor trend!!!! The Ludicrous Speed upgrade combined with the “Fast and Furious”-ready Model S P90D makes for some shocking acceleration numbers. With Ludicrous mode engaged and using the new launch control feature, 60 mph in the Tesla comes in a staggeringly quick 2.6 seconds with the driver experiencing a peak of 1.1 g up through 14 mph. Given the Model S P90D hangs with hypercars in acceleration from 0 to 60 mph, the list of cars the P90D beats to 60 mph is a long one, including everything from the vaunted Nissan GT-R to the big, bad Lamborghini Aventador and Bugatti Veyron. Only two cars that we’ve tested can outright beat the P90D to 60 mph: the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari. As for the “other” hybrid hypercar, the McLaren P1, the Tesla ties it in a race to 60 mph. Although the Tesla specializes in short sprints perfectly suited for metered freeway on-ramps, it’s also a capable drag racer. With a full charge, the P90D reliably rips through the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds, hitting 122.7 mph. Those numbers make the EV the fastest four-door sedan we’ve ever tested, besting both the mighty 707-hp Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and the Audi RS 7 at the strip. The P90D is a supercar beater, too, beating the Porsche 911 Turbo S and Nissan GT-R NISMO (among others) through the quarter mile, though in sprints much longer than that, the Porsche will walk away as the Model S nears its 155 mph top speed.

The P90 is a technological marvel no doubt but the interior.. where to start. It's trash tier for a car in this price range. The quality and ergonomics just aren't there.
Enjoy the P90 though it IS fun car to drive. |

Wicked exhaust note 😜
Enjoy it. Certainly fast and green. I test drove one for kicks - not for me especially with the price point. I prefer burning fossil fuels 😈

But 2 year leases were rolled so not really stuck more than 24months which is very long for me! Hope I don't regret it!! Because drama is important too not just sheer speed!! |

Do you ever think you would miss the sound of a great exhaust note tho? I would, after a while the ludicrous launch would get old and I would just die to hear the sound of an exhaust, speaking from experience.. I daily drive a Prius for work, and I actually love the Prius as a daily, regardless what people say. It's comfy, it's ridiculously great on gas even when driving aggressive, and it seats 4 adults. Drive that Tesla for two years.. Trash it at every opportunity, rape everything around you from stop light to stop light, and at the end of the lease throw them the keys back and step into a newer m5 At the end it's just money anyways, aka fun coupons..

I had cold feet for about 4 years and it's Abou time I tried something new I loved my M5 to death and still believe my M5 in Blie suit trumps my upcoming Red Tesla but I like to see what he future holds because I believe in the saying "The future isn't what it used to be!!" |

I drove an electric RAV4 for 3 years. It was perfect for my lifestyle because everything including work was close, so not much range anxiety. I was looking into a Tesla to replace, but in the end, could not stand the whisper quietness; needed some exhaust sound, performance, and ability to mod. It's good that your lease is only 2 years. Enjoy

Perhaps Tesla should purchase the ///M5 audio file from BMW and pipe it into the cabin of their Model S line,...away to give the exhaust note addicts an aural drug on demand! Edit: I'm considering an eCar one day,...but looking for range of 400 miles or so,....and quick swappable battery stations for road trips!

Depends 36m or 24m
Almost Fully loaded 130k plus usually with 7500$ down total will set you at monthly north of 1500-1600$ if fully loaded and maybe up to 1850-1950$ but got mine well below these figures because 2015 model and has been a demo and a good discount !! My P90D Sticker is 146k !! What's worrying me is I just heard they are rolling out 2016 P90D models lately with 100KW batteries and not saying and people are seeing 2.6 sec and 10.8 QMile consistently !! And I will probably miss out on that due to having a 2015 model !!!! Last edited by soooma; 08-21-2016 at 09:30 PM.. |

I think you got the older pic thought. the new front facia does not have that black piece anymore. Ive looked at a Tesla before and it was close second to me. If didnt have to drive 120 miles a day i certainly would of gotten it. and with the lease deals now plus incentive, I would of definitely jumped on it like you did. Overall good pick, its great to lease.. Im not sure about owning it though.
