RAIN venues. Even if it's not raining exactly at 3:30pm it's supposed to be quite cool and cloudy and sporadic showers.

We need people to register because we need to provide the restaurant with an accurate count.

Map of locations: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...40083,0.086946

Schedule 8/31
cmhsam will be wearing a BMW Performance Center Pullover in case you can't easily find the group.

3:30pm RAIN - Augustiner am Platzl
For the hardcore early crowd... And don't be afraid to show up a few minutes early. 100ft to the Hofbrauhaus.

5:30pm RAIN - Hofbrauhaus in the beer hall. (if the rain holds off and it's warmer than expected then of course - go outside in the garden!)
ok my comment on this is, some wanted to avoid it at all costs, but some told me they were dying to go, the outdoor garden can be a nice place for a beer actually

7:30pm Dinner at Brenner - just about 4 walking blocks away
One of the top restaurants in town, big open room so good for flexible groups as they can just slide more tables together, and very reasonable prices on the menu for the quality of the restaurant (entrees $13-22).

10:30pm For the bold - and those without 8am pickups - ed moses then either Heart or Bob Beaman
P1 (original plan) is having their White Party that night - and don't feel like walking around in white all day long. Remember that Midnight in Munich is just 6pmET...

List for 8/31
Ucla95+1 switched over to United, so looks like 5:30pm
BarryB+1
Cmhsam+1
chudak+1
zzzmmm+1 7:30pm
tarmant +1
lawpurv+1 5:30pm
jgarvish+1
ArtE36M3+1 7:30pm
Tigumz+1
Adam+1
RPiM5+1 7:30pm

Nardo Polo +1 for beer stops but not dinner
Vinsanity+1 10:30pm -> 4am

If interested in joining please reply into this thread or PM me and I'll add you to the list.

Please do not criticize that everything is not on here at once.

Why the wide date range? Well I and others may be moving pickup date (and flights) to pickup on 9/3 to do the M-Studio tour on 9/4. That's if nothing comes through on the 8/31 requests. You'll see that I'm just going to replicate the 8/31 & 9/1 schedules for 9/3-4.

Please understand that I will update this thread as necessary. I am doing my best here - please don't send hate mail. You'll also see I have contingency places in case it's raining. If it's borderline (i.e. on and off drizzle) I will post here if we're going to the Regular location or Rain location.
Please send RSVPs into the thread, I will then update this post.

Schedule 8/31
4:00pm Biergarten at Chinesischer Turm - this will not happen if the 8/31 M-Studio visit is on. RAIN - Augustiner am Platzl
For the hardcore early crowd...
5:30pm Hofbrauhaus outdoor garden (walk through the main hall). RAIN - in the beer hall.
ok my comment on this is, some wanted to avoid it at all costs, but some told me they were dying to go, the outdoor garden is not as well known by tourist buses and can be a nice place for a beer actually
7:30pm Dinner at Brenner - just about 4 walking blocks away
One of the top restaurants in town, big open room so good for flexible groups as they can just slide more tables together, and very reasonable prices on the menu for the quality of the restaurant (entrees $13-22).
10:30pm For the bold - and those without 8am pickups - either P1 or Milchbar...

List for 8/31
One thought. Can we put addresses on the original post?

I didn't put addresses in because once I add 4 more nights of events and start adding the attendee lists the post will be one of the longest single posts in the history of this board.

That would be hilarious. A lot of the Europeans think we are nuts anyway flying all that way to get a car.

I think the last pickups on 9/1 are at 4 which means people should be done by 5pm. Should we plan on meeting at the Welt at 530 and caravan over to the first place?

No way am I staying up all night to camp out. I am not as young as I once used to be. I am hoping to sleep on the plane ride over from the States and be awake enough when I land in Munich. I will be up early on Saturday to be at the Welt at 8am when those doors open. Its like Christmas in September.

Why not caravan south for a virgin 1hr ride to Garmisch (sp?). It is a beautiful inaugural ride? Would be impressive seeing all our beasts on the road for the first time.

Or better yet caravan to have dinner on 9/1 in Berchtesgaden or Salzburg.

I say we get out of Munich after the last pickup on 9/1 and make an entrance with our cars at dinner

I agree. An M5 convoy to dinner in the South German Alps sounds awesome!

Ok I think this is done! So for RSVPs please include date(s), number of people, and which things on that date you think you'll attend (so there isn't one person sitting at the early beer spot alone for example, although beer gardens are always great for meeting others anyway).

If you do dinner in either of those places you have a 1.5 hour drive home in the dark and won't be able to have a drink since you're driving home.

I'm up for either Salzburg or Garmisch. 1-2 hr south should be an awesome drive. Done it before. It should be light late so should have fantastic views on the way down. There are castles like the one in Disney land on the way. Would prefer to drive a bit first instead of going straight to dinner or beer garden.
