If you're not ordering it direct from your dealer it looks like EAS has them listed on their website: http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...10-5-series-m5

Good point. Hopefully there are no other physical changes that would preclude us from using them.

I'm also excited about the possibility of LED headlights.

How are these pedals? They look nice, but they also look like they might be slippery given the lack of rubber.

I'm wondering if I am better off with the ones from Bmwpedals.com or from AC Schnitzer.

They're not slippery in the least. Very grippy, surprisingly. I had similar thoughts when I initially purchased them. I had the M out on the track over the weekend and felt very confident in my ability to maintain control of the vehicle with these.

This new pattern seems to be the design language BMW is adopting for M vehicles. The F30 M Sport has a similar footrest, though it has an embossed M logo, which I wish mine did.

Installation was quite easy, with some drilling required. The footrest is simply adhesive and attached over the OEM M Sport one. Just ensure you purchase the set for manual transmission vehicles.

It's interesting, I had the opposite impression. The M6 steering wheel doesn't look right in the M5 to me. It's too skinny.

I love what wdimagineer has done with the lighting and pedals though. Looks awesome.

Nicely done! That is also what I have been thinking of lately - to put a M6 steering wheel into a F10. Do let me know when you feel it ok to share with us your installation/modification. I'm sure many others will be interested. Thanks.

I plan on it. Just doing the legwork to make sure anybody who attempts to do the retrofit can get the parts they need.

Dear All,

i just came across this thread by coincidence..

May i ask where you ordered the M5 F10 CF Rear Diffuser? As we do not have any order from the USA pending.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me directly as it seems that you are waiting for quite some time now and none of our distributors from the US has any pending CF Rear Diffuser order pending with us.

I have Senior folks at BMW NA and BMW AG working on trying to get me the last, missing pieces. Had you gone through what I've gone through to get to this point you'd probably feel the same way.

Once this is actually complete I'm more than happy to share. Until then I want to keep this under wraps (since I am the first to attempt this) in the unlikely event someone makes more progress than me, or by chance uses the connections I've made to somehow get the parts necessary. That is all.

And you know that other members (like Nate@IND) have withheld part numbers on exclusive parts. I'm not the only one.
yup its gay, and btw you aren't the first to have done this now There is one downside to doing it though.

Cheers,
Neil.

note i haven't done this but a guy i know has:

parts:

32307846034
32307845795
32307846031
32307846029
32307848330 -< there is an M5 specific version of this part (wiring harness)- this part apparently won't work, the m5 version i couldn't get part numbers for but our dealer was able to obtain it. we had planned to build a harness.

but if you have vibration you need other parts.
