Thanks for the reply. I'm already aware of the thread and have coded those settings, but they only enable the display with no readings.
I suspect that it is due to another setting/ECU that needs to be coded, since the gauge range is wrong as well. Some people have speculated that you need electronic wastegates, but this is certainly not the case as early 2015 builds have this working with mechanical wastegates. Since there's no known new ECU's added, I'm hoping it's simply the case of a firmware upgrade for a particular ECU or a setting in an ECU other than HU_NBT. If someone could send me their FA, SVT and ncd's I can try and figure this out for the rest of us. Quote:

Surely yours is a new 2014/15 one Wills? Do you not have this feature? Pretty sure mine did...?

Ya. I doubt the dealer can do it since it probably involves some custom coding. If anyone has a 2015 with working sport displays please pm me if you can help with getting the files to compare.

Ok, one of the modules probably has to be updated to have the right RPM to TQ/HP rating, but I have no clue which one it is and the additional coding values necessary. Unless someone can pass on the SVT, FA and ncd CAF files over from a working vehicle, I won't be able to figure this one out.

Do either of you have E-Sys? If not, you should get it as it will help you code on your own. What you'll need is E-Sys software and latest psdzdata (see here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...624780&page=53)
and an ENET cable: http://www.one-stop-electronics.com/...&product_id=21 Hint: For the ENET cable, cut out a notch to make removal easier: http://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthr...5#post15541905 If you have all those items, hook up your cable to the OBDII port and your computer. Open up Esys. Turn on your car to to AUX mode (so there's power). Connect (top left), but make sure you connect with F010 (NOT DIRECT), and connect via VIN (your VIN should show up if your car is powered on and communicating properly with the laptop). Click on the coding tab (under expert). From there, at the top left, under 'Vehicle Order' click Read. Then save it (it will save as an XML). On the right mid-screen, click 'Read SVT' and save it (it will also save as an XML). Then a bunch of ECU's will appear midscreen. Expand each one and select each CAFD entry (ctrl+click). With all of them selected, right click and select 'Read Coding Data'. This will read all your coding info into your data directory (typically located under C:\Data\CAF). Everything in here will have .ncd extensions. If you could zip up the both XML files and all the ncd files and share, it would be really helpful in figuring this out. |

Ok, I think I know what's needed. It appears that the data for the Torque/HP mapping is based on the ICM module.
Even if you got your vehicle flashed and the i-Level bumped, it's likely your ICM module hasn't been updated. I believe you need ICM 0000067B_002_007_011 and above. Does anyone want to give this a shot? You can confirm the ICM module's version as well by looking at the ICM ECU and comparing the CAFD number. |

Ok, so where I'm at with this is as follows:
Tried setting build date to 07/14 (2015 model year) and VO coding the ICM. This crashed E-Sys as it could not compute the necessary settings, as the ECU version it was expecting differed from what I have right now. The thing I'm not sure of right now is whether or not the ICM can be updated to 0000067B_002_007_011 or above. Can anyone with a recent full flash without sport display confirm the ICM version they have? It may not be possible to flash this firmware if other modules depend on it or if it depends on certain other newer versions of some modules. |

Yes, that's what we're talking about.
Anyone want to give these settings a shot with the newer firmware? I'm away from my vehicle so can't try it myself. HU_NBT ECO_CSC_KOMBI aktiv HU_NBT EFF_DYN_SPORT_CID aktiv HU_NBT EFF_DYN_SPORT_UNIT aktiv |

It can be coded in pre 2015 M5s but the gauges do not function as some have stated. I tried
