Wow, UN-fucking-real. Hard to call something like that home, regardless of ones original origin.

In addition, the gas prices is ˜3 times more expensive back there. I can say that for all the time i spend back home, i never filled up a gas tank for less than 100$.

everytime there is a budget deficit, the government jacks up the taxes on cars and gas. very sad for Turkish car enthusiasts

It is the msrp of the car. The the special consumer tax + VAT sum up 171.4% tax. So 101K euro netto price becomes 277K euro w/tax and registration.

This is how it is right now. However, there is around 20% discount on the car.
The list price of my M3 is around 190K euro

Don't worry - the list price of the BMW M5 in Singapore is SGD$499,000 = US$392,215 or EUR303,392..

And the best thing is they've already delivered 4 cars since the launch in January, and have probably sold another 5 more in the last month or so.

We have it equally bad here! Haha..

Well in Puerto Rico we have a 40% Tax on all cars above $40k MSRP and after that the dealer puts a mark up. I order a 2012 335i an with a "discount" is $71k.

Every city has its own dynamics. You should be thankful that at least Turkey has less videos of crazy accidents compared to China or India.

Just enjoy the food and the people, let others do the driving. They are just fine.

Talk about an international scam going on here... that same exact car in the US is about $90K USD so 1/4 of the price.

If I lived in Turkey... I'd be rioting right now.

Man I hate to bring politics to a forum but you are mistaken. Most of those countries are poorer due to the gov't tax. It not protecting commerce because their citizen are being penalized by the gov't. The idea that you need to pay your fair share is a liberal mindset and a stupid believe that only the gov't have the solution to today's problems.

I am glad that some people in turkey could still by a car and enjoy it. Imagine if the price was lower more people could enjoy such a beautiful tax. Also your luxury tax, VAT and state taxes are across most item people buy in the country so most of it citizen are deprived of better quality of life due to the gov't interference with commerce in the name of paying your fair share.

By the way OP, what color is that? Me LIKE!
Might be Lemans Blue ... hard to tell on photos.

First Photo below is Interlagos Blue and the second one Lemans Blue. comparing the OP to the photos below it does look like Lemans Blue to me since the colour is a bit darker. What do you think?

I actually think Interlagos is a bit darker because of the slight mix of purple in it. Both colors are great, but I personally just love the tone of LeMans - a very nice, pure, metallic-y blue.

I suspect it's LeMans too

EDIT: Jason just posted it's Monte Carlo. awesome color too. I saw one that color in real life.
